Description
Greetings from Nepal.
I am Aparna, an English Language Teacher in a government school in the Far-west of Nepal. I have been to the USA and stayed there for two months in a cultural exchange program. There I was hosted by an American family while my host university was Winthrop University, Rock Hills, South Carolina. I got an opportunity to make friends from twenty different countries. It was really a memorable experience for me. Since then I am excited to host people from all around the world. Nepal is rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage.
My school has won International Schools Award, ISA from British Council. I was the coordinator and conducted ten different projects in collaboration with fifteen partner schools; Brazil, Japan, Afghanistan, England, Srilanka, India, Bangladesh, and so on.
I am joint secretary of a teachers association. It is a nonprofit- volunteer platform for English Language Teachers. It conducts different training and professional development programs for English as a foreign language teachers.
I have visited India many times to share my research work from a different platform. Recently, I am visiting Srilanka and Bangladesh to present my paper.
I have a sweet home at Dhangadhi, where I live with my two children and a cat. Dhangadhi is a beautiful city near the hills. It is in the process of development. It is rich in cultural heritage. You can find diversity in culture, language, food, people, festivals, dance, and music here. Many languages are spoken and so many festivals are celebrated. It adds a unique taste to its culture. People are most often dressed according to the tribe they are. There is geographical diversity too. You can find plains, mountains, and hills here. You have a lot to do here, trekking, hiking, rafting, site seeing, forest safari, etc.
Besides my job as a government school teacher, I also have my own Private Boarding School. The school is from Kindergarten to Grade 10. It is an English Medium school and even the first English Medium School in the Far-west of Nepal. It was established in 1983. We provide high-quality education, focusing on the full potential of the body, mind, and spirit. I need volunteers here at the school so that my students can exchange their culture, language, and food.
You can also join me at my college. You can teach English, Science, and Mathematics to Grade 11, 12, and Bachelor Level Students. You can help us with graphic designs, animations, website, and social media updates too. We have a beautiful garden at the college, cafeteria, gym, basketball code, and Table-tennis. volleyball, and cricket teams who are playing national and international games. You can help us with sports too. We have HM and BHM classes too. You can help us teach hospitality, share cuisine recipes with us, and the general etiquette of your country. My students would love to meet you.

Help
At school, we want to improve the English Language of our students by making them talk and listen to native speakers. Volunteers can also help us in our Kindergarten. We will give them the opportunity to teach the subject of their choice and if they want they can also help our training programs for the teachers.
At college, they can teach English, Science, Computer Science, and Mathematics. They can help us with back office work too.
We are running 15 different clubs for students of their interest. Workwayers can coordinate at clubs too. We are working to make our city Green and Clean. Thinking Globally Working Locally, we have different eco projects at college and school. They can participate in and share their valuable ideas to make this earth Greener and Cleaner.
We also work with Theatre, Arts, and Music. We have a project of coloring the blank walls of the city and putting environmental messages on it. We are doing a plantation project too. We plant 3000 trees every year.
We have a Bakery Cafe run by our BHM students. If they are interested in the hospitality field, they can join the cafeteria and even give lectures in HM and BHM classes.
We have journalism and mass communication classes too at the college. They can join students for media photography and so on.
If you are a technical person, you can join BIM students for developing apps and software. You can teach and learn at the same time.
We are also working with street animals. Collecting food, medicine, and shelter for them. If you are an animal lover join us. We take care of dogs, cats, and street cows.

Home-stay or if they like we can provide them a separate room with a kitchen in our Inn. We will provide food according to our culture and even organize events where our school families can host dinners and lunches or breakfasts at their homes. This will make them be nearer to our culture and people. Sometimes, if they like, they can have food of their interest or prepare themselves in the kitchen, and we will pay for it.
Tradition Nepali food is less spicy. it's daal, bhaat, tarkari, vegetable soup, homemade bread, and only sometimes non-veg. All the food will be home-cooked, and fresh, and vegetables are from the local kitchen garden.
We have a canteen at school and college too, they will be served food at the canteen during working hours.
We have a local market, department stores, bakery cafe, cafeteria, and good restaurants too nearby the college and school. You can buy the food of your choice. What else ...
