    Description

We are Todd and Wiebke, living just outside Toowoomba in Queensland (about 1.5 hours from Brisbane) on our rural property surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Todd is Australian and works in equine bodywork. Wiebke grew up in Germany and works in accountancy.

We have both travelled extensively through Europe, South East Asia, Canada and Australia and we truly value cultural exchange and the opportunity to experience everyday local life rather than just passing through as tourists.

Our property is currently transitioning from avocado farming into a dedicated equine facility focused on horse wellbeing and performance support. Horses are at the heart of what we do and we are passionate about creating a calm, thoughtful and educational environment around them.

    What You Can Experience Here:

Staying with us offers a genuine rural Australian experience. You can:

-Be part of daily life on a small equine property
-Learn about horse care, bodywork principles and rehabilitation environments
-Explore the Toowoomba region and surrounding countryside
-Share meals, stories and culture with our family
-Enjoy peaceful country living with space and fresh air

We welcome motivated, positive and independent people who enjoy being part of a household and contributing to daily routines.

    Tasks may include:

-Feeding and caring for horses and other animals
    -General property maintenance and gardening
    -Light household help and cooking
-Support with equine facility setup projects

Horse experience is highly valued, especially for those confident around handling, feeding and observing horses.

Special Opportunity – House Sitting - September (5 Weeks)
We are looking for a reliable and experienced person (or couple) to stay for approximately 5 weeks in September while we are on holiday. During this time, your primary responsibility would be caring for the animals and overseeing the property.

This role would suit someone who:

    -Has handling experience
    -Is confident working independently
-Is responsible and attentive to animal wellbeing
    -Enjoys quiet rural living

Full details can be discussed with you, and we are happy to arrange video calls to ensure it is a good fit for everyone.

    Accommodation
You will stay in fully self-contained accommodation with your own bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. This allows for privacy while still being part of our family environment.

We look forward to welcoming open minded and capable people who would like to experience life on an evolving equine property and share in a meaningful cultural exchange.
