Volunteering at a naturist [Clothes Optional]campsite in Ourique, Portugal.
Description
In May 2011 Caroline and I, Richard, moved onto 55 acres , 22 hectares of protected land with a lake, great for cooling off in. The land is a ten minute drive from the town of Ourique and a forty minute drive to the Algarve. With over 300 days of sunshine this why we chose to live here.
We are in process of setting up an eco friendly naturist campsite, clothes optional. We will only ever have 10 pitches. As they say small is beautiful! Set in the middle of the countryside. We have a cafe/bar about 250 metres from our front gates.
We are looking, for people who are easy going and laid back and like the naturist lifestyle or do not mind working among naturists.
Before we go on, we should point out that we do have free roaming horses and very friendly dogs.
All our power comes from solar panels, with back up generators. We have a bore hole for water, and a well. We have a number of ruins and a house which we are currently using for storage.
Anyone, male or female, can do the jobs we are/will will be doing. As long as you love the outdoors and are reasonably fit you will enjoy the various projects we are undertaking.
The best part of it is that you can see how we are progressing as we have a blog on our website. So whatever help you give us you will see the results of your efforts, and of course our thanks.
Unless of course you have your own transport, we would offer to pick you up from the train station in Funcheira, or the bus station in Ourique.

Accommodation
Accommodation would be tent or caravan, or you can bring your own.
The caravan has a queen sized island double bed and the front can be converted into sleeping accommodation, either two singles or one very large double. All the bedding is provided.
There is a toilet wash hand basin and shower in the caravan. It is fully insulated so it keeps cool in the summer and warm in the winter. There is hot wot water and heating. The heating is for some of those cold winter nights we get. However you will never need the heat on during the day in the winter.
The tent accommodation is either a two man or 4 man tent. We have a portable fully flushing toilet and solar shower for the tent accommodation. All bedding provided.
We eat continental style cuisine.
We have wireless internet connection and mobile phone signals are good.

Firstly i want to say dont come here! Its the peace, tranquility and ease of this place that helps it be a fantastic place to work. Along with Caroline & Richards warm friendly way of being the land and animals help create a healing holding space to both relax and contribute.

Stevie's 3rd visit to us. She loved weeding the lake. Very much in touch with nature and her own spirituality. A very independent person, a free spirit. Animals love her which shows the kind of person she is.
Thank you for all you did for us and we wish you all the best with your new venture.

Reiny worked really hard and found new creative skills. Reiny and Bianca did an amazing job in creating a new area for the horses. They also managed to do a lot of clearing. It was just a pity about the weather. The worst we have known since we have been in Portugal. Thank you to you both for all of your hard work it is very much appreciated.
Victoria, Thank you for all the hard work. If only there were more people in the world like you. Easy going, hard worker [ more like a machine], interesting, funny. For any host reading this Victoria is worth her weight in gold.
Hello, Richard and Caroline and all little and big guys! Hope you"re doing great and relaxed as always! Thank you for having me and giving that calm quiet time I needed so much. It felt like holydays here with sleeping as much as you want and working as much as you feel like and good dinners. Very nice and useful living in a caravan experience and more

Everyone should have a Delilah. Hopefully she will come back next year for longer. Delilah became part of the family.
With a workaday experience you are jumping off into the unknown, but Richard and Caroline were so welcoming and interesting as individuals it put me instantly at ease. They were wonderfully unique people who taught me that work can be fun and not something simply to endure. I can't wait to find the time to go back and see the beautiful more
