Hello I am Pablo. I am a multi-media assemblage and installation artist and have been living and working in Berlin, Paris and New York for most of the past 10 years. In order to come back down to Earth, I recently acquired a quaint farm in rural NE Germany, located exactly midway between Hamburg and Berlin. Although I am still very active with my artist projects I have become equally as dedicated to renovating and developing my farm. Some of the stables and out buildings have already been converted to artist studios and residences for ongoing international visiting artist programs. We do maintain a small stock of farm animals such as chickens, ducks, rabbits and sheep, with of course the obligatory farm cats to hunt the mice. Additionally there is a working vegetable garden with fruit trees, berry bushes and strawberry patches to tend to. All volunteers will be integrated into our daily life and be offered the opportunity to participate in and help coordinate all our local, cultural and civic projects here. In addition to volunteers from Workaway, the farm is also home during the summer months to various artists who are participating in any one of our artist residency or artist workshop programs. This combination enables artists and workawayers alike, the chance to make new friends along the way on life's exciting journey. I myself have spent a number of years living and travelling around Europe and Central America and therefore understand and share the excitement of your decision to embark on such an endeavour as this Workaway project. Area: Orinoco River Delta, Venezuela,

It is not our camps or lodges that attract today’s adventurous, nature oriented and environmentally aware travelers . We provide the basics to make your trip possible but it’s the untouched beauty of the magnificent Delta that speaks for itself. Home to the Warao Indians and cradled between the mighty forces of the Orinoco River and Atlantic Ocean, the Delta is a constantly evolving ecosystem rich with countless species of flora and fauna. During our 19 years of operating within the Delta we have created three strategically located camps which together offer our visitors a unique opportunity to experience every aspect of this breathtaking natural wonder.

Area: Faaborg (Island of Fyn).

Hi there, Our school is situated in the nature, surrounded by the most typical danish woods and fields. Our surroundings breathes tranquility and the sound of nature is always with us. We are a few km. away from the nearest town and right next to the sea. Our buildings are big and have many rooms, offices, workshops and plenty of space to develop any activity you can imagine. The school consists of main building (boarding school for 15 students) and another building where students are studying to become sailors. At the same time, in the main building, we develop various volunteer programs. We have some volunteers preparing for future projects in third world countries and we also have several volunteers who help us in our daily tasks at school. So we are always many people around, working, studying and having some nice time too of course!. We are so many that there is always someone with another language and culture. Our students are international just as some of the teachers. There are many events we organize together with other schools here in Denmark. Through those events both volunteers and students have the opportunity to meet others and exchange experiences.

Area: Midi Pyrenees

We are a French-American family looking for folks to help us out with various projects around our recently purchased old stone village house in Ariege, midi-Pyrenees. Our village is a mountain village of only about 70 permanent residents, and our house provides superb views of Pyreneen mountain peaks. One of us works full-time, while the other one of us is kept busy with our two little ones and working part-time - meaning that we have little time to do many of the things we would like to make our charming house even more so! Any folks interested in staying with us must love children and cats (we have 2 kids and 2 cats). We'd really love to find folks who like children and will be happy to play and interact with our kids.

Area: Vesteraalen/Lofoten

***** Due to the high demand of volunteers we are fully booked until the end of JULY 2013 - Exception: a.) May - June: Strong & handy people who possibly might be able to operate an open boat. b.) Anytime: Skilled plumbers or concreters. ***** Our lighthouse is the only property on a small island in the Norwegian sea in the arctic part of Norway. We are about to build up the lighthouse as a special guestplace with rooms for rent, a cafe, a green garden with potato land and a herbal garden. Everything grown here is ecological. We are self sufficient with water, energy & transport. The place is unique, and so are the people coming here to help out gradually turning this place into a lighthouse with a big soul. I live here all year long, so volunteers are welcome any season. Thanks to the Gulf Stream the climate is mild and relatively warm - taken into consideration it is beyond the polar circle!
