Work
In February all the vines need to be cut and made ready the for summer growth. Between February and April there is also work cleaning, weeding and making repairs to the vineyard, as well as general maintenance work around the cantina.
In June we need help thinning the vines.
The grape harvest starts in October and involves picking and processing the grapes and making the wine. The work is fairly hard but you can help with all aspects of the wine making process, from picking, pressing, fermenting and storing of the wine and learn about the wine making process.

Tahlia was a brilliant worker, I'd highly recommend her - she was flexible, can-do, tireless and great company. Thanks Tahlia!
We spent a week pruning vines on Marco's vineyard in Ostuni. Although we found the work a little repetitive (the snow in Southern Italy didn't help raise the morale!) the accomodation was perfect and the food was tasty... as well as the wine! Marco was very friendly and nice enough to lend us his car for a day trip. He was very informative and more
Quin was our first Workawayer, helping to thin the vines at the vineyard. He was a good worker and was easy to have around, we got the job done and were thrilled to have such a great Workaway experience. Thanks Quin!
Amy joined the team about half way through the work and was brilliant - she learned quickly and soon bonded with everyone. She was interested in what she was doing and in life here. Amy's a hard worker and a pleasure to host. Thanks Amy!
I stayed at Marcos vineyard for two weeks and helped pruning the grape-trees. Marco and his family is sooo nice! He learned me about the production of wine and how the grape-trees grow and his adorable little daughter lent me Disney-movies so I wouldn't be bored in the evenings. They also took me to the town in the week-ends and lent me a bike. more
Eilin was a very willing and hard worker, she learned very quickly and got on with the job working well as part of the team. She fitted in very quickly and was easy to have around. We would recommend her 100% - thanks Eilin!
