We are starting a cultural centre and auberge that will function out of a lovely old chapel and a seven bedroom farm house in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec. The studio has no religious affiliation. Volunteers will work with us on both the house and church as well as the surrounding property, which is located in a peaceful village in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. The official opening date of Staycation Studios is the first of July, 2012.

Hello, We are a young and open-minded couple, who like to bring people together in a green, calm and inspiring environment. From the 14th of September 2012, you are more then welcome at our Ecological Centre for personal development and conscience . In the summer season, July and August, we give Yoga and Art Courses. The rest of the year this idyllic place is open for everyone who wants to participate in the project. All meals are vegetarian and of course free. We're a small backpackers hostel overlooking the beautiful Bras d'Or Lakes and surrounded by trees, fresh air and wildlife. We're open each year from May until late October and just down the road from the start of the Cabot Trail. If you enjoy being active, we are close by to hiking, kayaking, biking, swimming and beaches. Workawayers are welcome to help with landscaping, housekeeping, renovations and building projects, website optimization, helping travellers, answering phones etc . We host hundreds of international backpackers each season and invite you to be part of this great place! Late afternoon and night is left for BBQ's, reading in the hammocks, campfires, and music. Please contact at least a few days before as we only have room for 1-2 workawayers at a time and we don't want to disappoint. Time of stay is flexible but I prefer a minimum of 3 days. Special consideration is given to those with carpentry, building and electrical skills as we are hoping to build a couple cabins from recycled barn wood and run by solar power. Talk to you soon!

My name is Antonio, I work in social jobs with handicap, using art (mainly theatre)... I live alone in a town of 1500 people, 10 km to the west coast Sardinia's beaches and all around is country sides and mountain (Montiferru Chains). My house is not at all a luxury house, is very simple but cozy, with basic stuffs. There is only my bedroom and a studio where I can host people (and kitchen, livingroom and toilet). I have a garden with vegetables and olive trees, I also cultivate a vineyard with my father (who lives with the family in another house, 200mt from me and sometimes wants me to help him in his farm: he feeds horses, cows, sheeps, donkies and he cultivates and harvests the hay). I have lot of friends and lot of happenings to have fun and not to stay home with nothing to do:-) ... and I like to ride my bicycle!

I am a Teacher Of English and I am a PC technician too, but I am now at the University reading for my BA in languages degree. I live in a town called Passara which is about 400 Km away from the capital city. And have a sister too, we live with our parents. Mum is a teacher so is sister and dad is retired.
