Area: CataloniaMy name is Brian and I live on a small farm near to Mora D’Ebre, in rural Catalunya, where I cultivate olive and almond trees using organic principals, but I am not registered as an organic grower because the costs of registration are just too high. My farm is surrounded by mountains and pine forests so the views are rather spectacular and there are many mountain walking trails that pass close to my house. My house is some 5km on a tarmac road from town where there are shops, bars, a theatre, nightclubs, and all other necessities of life and within reason I am quite happy to deliver/collect if you need a night out in town. I live alone with too many cats (7) and four dogs that have all “turned up”, presumably after hearing that there is a mad old man who will look after them! I have 5 children (and three grandchildren) who visit from time to time so sometimes the house can get a bit busy.

Area: AlbertaSummer Work – Horse Trainer/Ranch Hand I need 5 or 6 experienced riders to train ranch horses for the summer. They must be competent riders able and willing to make the horses gallop, do roll backs correctly and stop correctly. The horses will be trained as trail and cow horses and started on barrels and poles. They need to do enough work to become safe for anyone to ride. There is an outside arena, but most of the riding is done out in the fields and hills.

Area: veliko tarnovo BulgariaHi, I am renovating an old house and barns in the village of Hotnitsa, 15km from the town of Veliko Tarnovo. Honey House will eventually become a Yoga, Reiki and horse trekking center, we have already had a few guests in the B&B and have more booked thorough the year as well as a trickle of day guests for yoga, horse riding and therapies. Basically I need help to turn the dream into a reality. I am looking for people with some building/restoration knowledge, you don't have to be a master crafts person, but if you are that would be fantastic. Also artists to add beautiful instillations, find creative ways to make ugly old furniture look stunning or at least quirky and to help hide the cracks with colour and laughter. Workaways with a good sense of humour, who are willing to give everything a go, are much appreciated. I would like this to be a happy experience for everyone. You need to be able to work without constant supervision as I am often busy with the horses or teaching, so people with an ability to structure their own days and get on with the work is important. There are 3 dogs, 3 cats, 3 chickens and 4 horses who call this place their home. They are very much part of the family, and are all over the furniture, very playful and sometimes a pain in the bum. If you don't love animals this really is not the right place for you. I am a vegan. But I do not expect you to be vegan whilst here, but only ask that you dont eat meat here, what you do away from the house and garden in your own time is up to you I have travelled extensively throughout the years and have many a funny travel tale, and also enjoy listening to other peoples tales and learning about people, their culture and languages. Living at Honey House is about loving nature and living a life which brings about a higher vibration full of love and laughter, whilst not being to serious about anything. Its great to giggle :) Workaways are very welcome to join Yoga classes (if there is space) learn reiki and ride the horses in their own time.
