Description
Teach English, math, art and science to primary school students in Ghana, West Africa!
I am a former Peace Corps volunteer who served in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Since I left my service in Ghana, my former neighbor and good friend, James, founded a primary school in a small village about 30 minutes outside of Kumasi -It was established in 2007 with only three children attending. Since then, it has grown to a well established, quality alternative school with over 100 kids!
At our Primary School, we believe in the power and potential of all children to grow into the leaders of tomorrow and create a better future for Ghana.
Our theory of education is participatory and holistic. We encourage children to ask questions, explore, and learn in a way that allows them to unlock their inherent potential and develop into a happy, healthy and successful adult.
Our school campus is set in a beautiful garden environment where children not only study traditional academic subjects, they also have the opportunity to learn about their culture, heritage, and the environment that supports it.
