A small B&B in 5 acres of rainforest near the beach in Cape Tribulation, the owner Rob is a Dutchie who got stuck here during his one year working holiday many years ago. He now has the mad idea in his head to create a sculpture trail through the rainforest, and is working on that but it's a big job and he needs help.
People with experience in sculpture and cement mixing are most welcome, but also it helps to have someone take over some of the B&B duties, every hour that I do not have to clean rooms or stay near the phone is an hour spent on getting the sculpture trail project further. Currently I am away but from the start of May I will be looking for helpers again, both for the B&B and for the sculpture trail projects.

Far North Queensland

Work will vary depending on season and project, but usually I am looking for someone to help with housework in the B&B so I have more time for the art projects, and looking for people to help with the heavy stuff like mixing cement and wheel barrowing concrete or gravel around. Also looking for artists, especially with experience in sculpture, to do their artwork here and add to the collection.
I am trying to establish a sort of art gallery/sculpture trail through the rainforest, various artists have already contributed but there are two hectares to fill with trails and sculptures so always more work to do.

Cabin in the rainforest

Nearby activities include beach, ranforest, seakayaking, horseriding, snorkelling, jungle surfing etc.
The Sunpalm bus is expensive but Country Road Coaches is cheaper, although it does not run everyday.
Some buses like Jungletours or others that do the package deals up here may take you which is the best value as you get a croctour thrown in but they are usually to lazy to bring you up to the door here, and will leave you at a hostel down the road.
