Description

Me and two children used to live here, they are older we now spending alot of our time in the UK doing education and earning some much needed money to continue project in Spain, meanwhile there are other people living here while we cant be. We are back every few weeks ad will be back over the summer for a couple of months so are really looking for volunteers then OR before hand to prepare things ready for the main work when we come.
Its a really beautiful area, right next to the Picos De Europa
(an amazing mountain range) with an open air swimming pool at the end of the road,(only open in summer) theres loads of wildlife around (bears wolves wild boar, loads of bird of prey) amazing walks, climbing horse riding, biking, ski ing...... Leon City is only 40kn away with good transport conections.... Its lovely here.
At the moment there area also lots of horses chickens and goats sharing the land with a english / german family who all speak spanish too.... email me for more info as things are ever evolving, but its a great place to visit and work and the local town is fantastic; Very traditional spanish, ( lots of free tapas to be had in the bars) very friendly and with in easy walking distance :-)

Help

We have a half built wooden round house that really needs to be finished this year, so some one with practicle skills, carpentary or eco building skills would be ideal for this work.
We Also need help with general work, repairs, maintenance and wooden construction re-building around the land. Plus an irrigation system and large garden to repair and maintain.
Our rather old solar system and wind genny need some one who knows what theyre doing to take a look and tell us what isnt working properly so that we can get that all back to scratch!

Languages spoken

depending on who is here at the time...spanish, english, hebrew and more!

Accommodation

You would be staying in a caravan or converted bus. Or you can bring your own tent.
Accomadation is basic and rustic! compost toilets and basic washing facilities. Depending on how the solar system works we have more or less electriciy. Be prepared to adapt while here!

What else ...

Please contact me for more information; and to find out who will be around and what projects will be happening when you would like to visit, as this is an often changing thing!

I have written a detailed info pack, to send to interested work-awayers, to ensure that you are prepared for what you are getting into!!! Also a detailed transport links info sheet to help you to get to us!
