Our ophanage is situated in the middle of a rainforest, outside of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The orphanage aims to take children away from aggression, drugs & criminality in Rio and surrounding suburbs. It provides these children with shelter, nutrition, education and a lot of freedom to play. Your help is needed because international volunteers bring new knowledge and enthusiasm from which the children and staff can learn from!

The volunteer program is completely free. Volunteers receive an airport pick-up, accommodation, food, training, portuguese classes and access to “capoeira” classes. Volunteering is a unique cultural experience – you will get to know the brazilian culture, have the freedom to set up your own projects and the children will make you feel at home from the very first second!

We also offer places for volunteers at our Language center in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro!
Currently we are looking for people with experience working with organic faming that can help us with our new project "Comunidade Verde", or Green Community
We are looking for Language school teachers for our English, Spanish and Portuguese classes! Also Marketing/Fundraiser and Officer managers are needed! You have to be at least 21 years old and experience in your working field. For all volunteers we offer accommodation!

Comunidade Verde volunteer
We are looking for volunteers with experience in organic agriculture/ Livestock /Fish farming to work in our Community project. If you are interested in volunteering, you will have the following responsibilities:

Helping us develop the Community!
Responsible for knowledge regarding issues of sustainability and agriculture.
Coordinate and train other volunteers.
Teach adolescents and youth about sustainable lifestyles, agriculture and about our mission.
Develop new ideas to involve children in agriculture.
In addition to these primary responsibilities new projects are always welcome!




For the language school we need Teachers, Marketing/Fundraisers and Office manager.

Key responsibilities Marketing/Fundraiser:
-Promote Language School online
-Promote sales of our organic farming products
- Update current volunteer placements on various websites
-Source new (free) websites to advertise volunteer placements
-Grant writing – including sourcing new companies
-Organising fundraising events
-Contacting organisations for funds
-Fundraising for specific projects

Key responsibilities Office manager:
-Organising the weekly staff & class schedule
-Monthly staff evaluation
-Cashflow management
-Promote Language School online
-Reception duties – meet and greet students
-Telephone liaison with potential students
-Holding regular staff meetings with the volunteers
