Volunteering in central France
Description
Hi, we are Malcolm and Edward and we run a small B&B in Central France, and would like some help please in spring to plant out our vegetable and flower seedlings, spread bark on all veg and flower beds, this helps conserve moisture and suppress weeds in summer so we don't have to weed so much.
We would also like to have a volunteer from May to the end of September who would like to help us in the house / B&B who we would offer a weekly amount too in return for a 6 hr day.
If you are interested in a long or short term stay, please tell us when you want to come, we would like help in finishing some building projects, such as putting a new roof on our open barn and new games room.
Malcolm, Gary and Graham have finished working on the barn roof. We hope to have a games room done some time.
Helpers would have the caravan and have a toilet and shower and their own kitchen, the kitchen will be done in 2011 / 2012. We also have bikes for you to use. If it is something you would like to do please email us and do contact us for transport options, eg, Ryan Air, Trains. Thanks for reading so far!!! Edward and Malcolm
Malcolm and I have been here since July 2003 and have renovated this house and done the garden in that time , it took us 2 1/2 years to renovate so we could open as a B&B, we have 4 rooms and can take up to 12 people.
We have had some great helpers this year and we hope to meet some more later in the year and coming years.

What else ...
We both are hands on guys and have had an enjoyable time with guests and the workaway volunteers we have had in 2009 to 2011. Edward has one leg but is very active and Malcolm is a bit quite. We run a B&B and need help with all the necessary things that go with running a B&B and serving dinner in the evenings, please ask if you have any questions we can answer so we can hopefully meet you and have an enjoyable spring summer and autumn with you.
We are prepared to offer travel expenses and a weekly remuneration.

I stayed with Malcolm and Edward for three weeks and had a fab time. I did a mixture of work - help with the change over of rooms, work in the vegetable patch and polytunnels, and helping out at dinnertime. They are superbly generous and easy to get along with. With their bikes I was able to explore the lovely countryside surrounding them too. more
