Area: North of Arctic Circle, Norway

We are located on a spectacular island in the far north of Norway, above the arctic circle, at the very tail end of the Gulf Stream. Lots of whales, seals, white tailed eagles, seals, midnight sun, and strange looking birds. If you look on a globe for the finger of islands that hang off the far north coast of Norway then find at the northernmost island......... that's us .....

Area: ANDALUCIA, Cadiz province, Barbate

We are a french family of four, with 2 kids (7 1/2 and 3 years old). We have worked abroad (Africa, Central America, Pakistan) for years, and after few years in Paris, we decided to settle down in Costa de la Luz (Andalucia), wich is a perfect place to raise children (and for adults too!). We know the area since 20 years now, and have lived here full time for 7 years. We live in a beautiful and preserved environement, in a old hacienda, in a natural park of pine trees. He runs an hotel/bar/restaurant (with partners) and I am naturopath/nutritionist (give consultations, write recipe books ...). Our children are healthy, easy going on and bilingual (french/spanish). They love receiving friends and visitors. It is a great place for great walks in the park, we are 5 km from unspoilt beach, you can also enjoy many activities (horseriding, surf, bycicling ...). We can drop you at the bus station when you want to visit more of Andalucia on your day off. And when we drive out (everyday to school and more), we drop you so you can visit easily the nice little town around (Barbate, Vejer ...).

Area: Sierra de Grazalema

Spanish man (Rafael 33) would like to know new people and share experiences on the farm situated at the foot of the known Sierra de Grazalema (Grazalema Mountains), 5 min. by car from the white town of Villamartin (12.000 inhabitants). Our Dehesa, an autochthon mediterranean meadow dotted with holm oaks, wild olive trees, carob trees…is the home of the cattle of 40 cows of the autochthon Retinto breed, there is a centenary olive grove, and land for agricultural work, all organic. I live in a typical Andalusian Cortijo (farmhouse). I speak good English, have lots of animals, love music and enjoying nature. Works: -Cutting and collecting balls of hay, straw and alfalfa (summer)-To pick olives (October, November), even the wild ones -To plant trees (reforestation of a part of the farm and of the centenary olive grove) -Mantainance of cuttle herd and other animals Languages spoken Spanish, English Accommodation In the farmhouse there is a small separated house with kitchen, dormitory an bathroom all in one. Kitchen is shared. My parents live in another part of the farmhouse. There is the possibility to do long walks between meadows and streams inside and outside of our land. You can do bird watching as there are beautiful and rare birds even coming from Africa. We have mountain bicycles and in the near Natural Park of Sierra de Grazalema you can do trekking, hiking, climbing, paragliding, canoeing…. 80 km from the atlantic sea. MINIMUM STAY: 2 weeks

Area: Central Hawkes Bay

Our farm is 2km to the sea with coastal views and the village 6km with a shop. Nearest service town 54kms, 8km to longest place name. We farm sheep, cattle and cows. Have horses, dogs, chooks, ducks, cats and two pet goats. New born lambs and calves in the spring. Normally an opportunity to hand rear a lamb or two. Have a pet Calf named Cushla and last years lamb named Pandora, Pasha the black goat, and Shiloh and Abby our horses Spring is a lovely time on the farm with a variety of jobs, the days are usually great to be outside. Area: Bay of Plenty

We are a farming family, have been milking 140 cows for the last 20 years. We wanted to do something different so sold the cows and bought 6 horses. We are now a riding school and a trail riding centre, also organizing horse camps at different times of the year to different places. We are also a small farmstay so keeping busy with that too. You get to help us with varied tasks from maintenance to horse work, to cleaning hostel( maintenance) and horsegear, also assisting in trail riding and camps. Our sons are all grown up with 2 still at home but next year they're off to uni. We have a panoramic view over the islands, ocean, hills and bush. We have a 9.1 m swimming pool for use in your free time in the summer and a river swimming hole 10 min walk way. We do NOT like smokers as some of us suffer from Asthma, so please, NON SMOKERS ONLY.( it also pollutes the air and your body and ours)
