We are two public school teachers with two children on a small farm near Olympia, WA. We raise chickens, goats, and have a large garden. Nearby you can go kayaking, sailing, or scuba diving in Puget Sound. It is a short bike ride to downtown Olympia, the capital of Washington State. We are not far from Olympic National Park, Mt Rainier National Park, and Mt St Helens.

Hello Volunteer! :) we just bought a hotel so people that want to visit our peace center find a place to stay. Therefore we need volunteers that can work autonomous and have some skills in painting at the moment. We need you as soon as possible! Further we need people that want to help to operate the hotel. Experiences in the hospitality field would be of great help! The peace center needs volunteers for outside and inside work during the summer :) This is a project of travel for peace. We want to finish a huge peace center that many people can enjoy this place for different events. We are a peace organisation which so far arranges peace travels for Norwegian pupils, grown ups, has a well-fare project in Africa and wants to extend it's offer. Therefore we need our peace center. Our vision for the peace center is to be a collecting point for future work on peace and human rights. The old building (built 1911 - 1917) was a lung-hospice before. We are about to renovate it. Some rooms are already completed. In a few rooms there are only some details missing and others have to be renovated entirely. We have one skilled person but he can't of course do the work only by himself. Therefore we need you. We want to finish some parts until August (and some parts later on), so the building and the surroundings can be used for grill-parties, as a hosting place for travelers and so on. We really need people that want to work and do identify with our vision. We had some people before which didn't really came for work and that is why the peace center still is not completed. So please do not contact us if you are afraid of working. We started the project in July 2012 and it works great so far, therefore I am looking for more fun people that can help us to work on the peace center! The nature around the peace center is just fascinating. It is close to the water with a small sandy beach. We have bicycles here that you can use as well as fishing rodes and tents. You can go hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, canoeing, rafting and so on. We also have two guitars here, some drums and a piano. Check out the pictures to get a better impression of the place where we are. We can arrange to pick you up either in Oslo or Kristiansand (which would be better for us) I am happy to see you here!

We are a small family living a simple life on our organic self sufficient farm on mainland Greece in a beautiful region called Epirus (or Ipiros). Our farm lies just outside the town Arta near the Amvrakikos Gulf and about 40 km from the Ionian coast . The area around Arta has long been known as the orange growing centre of Greece. Lush orange groves can be found all over the place. Our land was covered with dark green orange trees as well until the demand of Greek oranges declined dramatically and a severe frost caused a lot of damage to the trees in our area. Today we cultivate about 2-3 ha of land where we grow a large variety of fruit trees besides oranges, some with more and some with less success. One of our aims is to experiment, to try out new things and to find out what suits this area best. We now have well known fruits like apples, peaches, grapes and pears as well as exotic plants like assimina, passion fruit or feijoa and tropicals like banana and guava in our large greenhouse. Besides fruit trees there is a number of olive trees and walnut trees growing on our farm. Our main aim is to be self sufficient as much as possible and to reduce the amount of money we spent for every day life.

I live in a small village named Kalianyar 15km from the nearest town (Bondowoso). With a friend I'm trying to set up a tourism program in my village. Our goal is to develop an eco-tourist village, and to offer visitors to learn about our way of life. So far weve tried plastic waste recycling training with the help of a friend from France. We are also starting to give extra English lessons or assist the English teacher at the kalianyar primary school. I am welcoming workers to come to my village to share my way of life, help me develop the tourism program (by talking, giving ideas) , give some English lessons depending on your level If you have any ability or experience in eco tourism and environment well be glad to learn from you. I live with my mom and my wife as well as one cute niece (5 years old). For the lessons to be effective, longer stays (at least 2 weeks) are preferred . Easy access to Bondowoso by bus. I can pick you up at the Bondowoso bus station. Internet access and supermarket available in Tamanan( 3 km away). We can provide bikes. From Bondowoso you can go to the Ijen volcano .

I run 2 small guesthouses for foreign visitors who come to Buenos Aires as tourists but also want to know about our culture & way of life. Both houses are old rustic character italian style... and they need cleaning and maintenance. I can take ONE workawayer for 1 or 2 weeks, according with the rooms that rented guests leave free... so I cannot tell you to much time in advance if I can take you or not. As I´m one of the few in BA, many workawayers write me. So, if you want to be taken into consideration please attend to the next points: - Don´t write me if you have no a real plan with DATES to come. - Don´t write me if you have no experience working. This is NOT couchsurfing! - Some workawayers asked me to come but they didn´t appear and made me to lose the chance to rent that room.
