If you want to enjoy the lovely Brittany countryside, we invite you to join us in summer 2013 for a week stay. You will be welcome, we can host couples, individuals or even a family of 4, and we need your help for a variety of tasks, as we have lots to do. So you can help us making a traditional stone fence for our garden and creating a terrace in front of the house to avoid plants grow in front of the main entrance. We can also host you only for a few days, but ideally it would be better if you stayed with us for around a week. We are a 2 adults and 2 sons, aged 11 and 12. We work in the educational field and like enrolling in open air activities (walking, swimming, skating, playing tennis, skiing, going to the beach...), playing board games and reading. We are Catalan, from nearby Barcelona,so we all speak Catalan and Spanish. Moreover, all of us speak English quite well and I can also speak fluently French and Italian, while Vicent is fluent in German. We had two workawayers with us in summer 2012 and we enjoyed very much having them at home!Region: Cadiz Region
Andy & I have an Art Studio in a beautifully restored 18th century Andalucian house in the centre of a 'Pueblo Blanco'. Our primary business is painting and drawing classes for local people and residential painting holidays. Alcala is on the edge of the Alcornocales Park so we also offer B&B or self catering accommodation for walkers, bird watchers, Spanish learners and holiday makers in general. We have lived here for 5 years, we think this area of Andalucia is spectacularly beautiful and that the local people are friendly and welcoming. We have both travelled widely and we enjoy meeting new people, we respect the need for volunteers privacy. We also have a small and very friendly dog (Jorge), he loves to go for long walks with anyone who is willing!Region: Cadiz
We are a spanish/german couple with an 4 years old boy and a 2,5 years old girl, running a little guest house on a farm with ecological and partly permaculture garden (vegetables and olive trees) in inland Andalucia. The farm is situated in beautiful surroundings in the Grazalema natural park which provides great mountain and walking area.Region: Malaga Andalucia
Hello, we are Brian and Barbara . We are an easy going couple with a great sense of fun and need some help now. We retired from our hectic life in the UK in 2003 and came to live on this delapidated almond farm in a beautiful valley, 35 minutes from Malaga airport. We brought with us various animals, cats, dogs a rabbit and our collection of ducks, chickens, geese and turkeys. Since then we have lost some of them, but gained many more including 2 horses. We made many improvements to the property when we first arrived including installing electricity, drains and water as well as turning what was a four roomed empty building into our now nice home. We did pretty well all of this ourselves. We continue to work on the place improving and updating. Projects for the future are building a stone wall and creating an area where we are able to foster abandoned dogs waiting for a home. The ongoing project at the moment is to build a small double stable for the horses Our next major project is to clear a further paddock of rocks and scrub so we can plough it and sow seed to produce good forage for the 2 rescue horses. And this is where we need help!Region: Canillo
We are a single parental family, me (a man) in my early forties and my daughters (Lassa is 8 years, Nayele is 7 years). I work, I study, my daughters usually do some activities after school: ice skating, painting, judo, swimming, theater, to learn portuguese. Their school is in French as main language with Catalan as second language. The girls can speak Spanish, some Catalan and some French, somewhat in Portuguese one of them. It would be interesting to teach them some English. I also can speak English, French and Portuguese.
