Description

We live on a 250acre property south of Chinchilla (which is about 400km from Brisbane) with our four children (aged 11, 9 and 21mths and newborn). We are in the process of building an eco home, which has over 60 solar panels and 9 wind generators and is made using recycled shipping containers.

Whether you want to stay one week, one month or six months, we welcome your help! AND WE ARE ABLE TO SIGN PAPERWORK FOR YOU TO GAIN YOUR SECOND YEAR VISA!!

Travail

We are looking for someone to help out with lining the containers as well as assisting in the building of enclosures for our various stock....which includes goats, geese, chooks and ducks and for now a pig (well we did but the helpers we had in July helped kill and butcher it)!! We would also love some help with setting up our vegetable and fruit patches.

We home school our children so they are here all the time.

If you are a positive person who doesn't mind getting a little dirty, please contact us.

Unfortunately we are not multilingual, however my husband can speak a few words of German. It helps if you can speak child too!

All meals are included but if you are a fussy eater or a vegetarian/vegan you may find it a little difficult because we eat a fair amount of chicken and goat!

We enjoy watching a variety of TV shows in the evening or entertaining friends. We would love to learn more about your culture and lifestyle.

You will have access to phone, internet and transport to town (via a school bus). Our home is still partly under construction, so while it is quite liveable, it can be a little unorganised!

We have a learn-as-you-go approach to all of the things we do and would love your help. We work steadily all year round, however in the winter we start later and in the summer we finish earlier so we can have a swim! We are not looking for slaves....but rather some eager individuals looking for some new and exciting work.

We can pickup from the Greyhound Depot in Chinchilla (services run twice daily from Brisbane and it is best if you check the timetable before booking your trip as they run very early in the morning and very late in the evenings!).

BUT PLEASE REMEMBER: Chinchilla is over 400km from the city - really in the middle of nowhere.....so if you are after a modern home with all the convenience of the city with no dust, children or animals then you are really looking in the wrong place.

We appreciate all and any help!

If you have read all this, then we thank you and hope to hear from you soon.

Autres choses...

We are hoping for the extra help to get our gardens established and some more work done around the paddock and house.

We would love for people to come and experience our down-to-earth approach to living as we feel it is not only beneficial for our physical health but mental health too. We love what we have here and hope that others can appreciate what we have as well.

If you have ANY questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will endeavour to answer them as best as we can.

Hope you have a lovely stay in Australia and enjoy your day
