We are a German-Slovenian couple in our 40ies with three small children living on a beautifully situated farm in Slovenia, near the Italian border (Trieste is about 30 km away from us) and the Adriatic sea. Our animals are: 2 cats, 2 dogs, 3 hens and 5 horses (1 Lipizzan stallion, 3 Lipizzan geldings and 1 Norwegian Fjord horse, also a gelding). The mild climate allows us to keep the horses outside throughout the year.
Our farm is situated on the top of a hill about 530 metres above sea level with a beautiful view over the famous Carst region on one side and the Vipava valley on the other side.
During the summer months we sometimes accomodate friends and family, mainly from Germany and Austria, otherwise we live on our own.
If you love nature, horses and animals in general, you will more than enjoy your stay at our place. As a skilled rider you may always take one of our horses out on a hike, without even asking.
Nearby there are many tourist attractions, as the Lipizzan stud farm Lipica, famous Carst caves (e.g. Postojna, Skocjan), the Adriatic sea, the city of Trieste, etc., so you should visit us by car.

We offer you accommodation in an apartment with your own kitchenette (the fridge will always contain what you like) and of course a private bathroom.The apartment has its own entrance at the back of the house.If you understand German, it may be of interest to you that you will also have SAT TV (mainly German-speaking TV programmes).
