Help on a Normandy Dairy Farm and B&B
Country: France
Description
If you'd like to help us out with painting, gardening, cleaning, general maintenance or farm work, then we'd love to see you on our busy French/English dairy farm and B&B in the heart of the Normandy countryside.
Right now, we're looking for helpers for the month of August to help with painting, gardening and generally keeping the place tidy. There's also a chance to help out on the farm - milking, tractor driving and bottling milk and cream in our small dairy for anyone interested in learning. Help with looking after calves, poultry and horses would be great too.
If you're looking for a taste of genuine country living, are prepared to really muck in and participate, have a great sense of humour and love good food, this could be the ideal place for you!
Some of the work will be dirty and you may be asked to work by yourself, but we all get together to eat! Life is busy and varied here, so please only apply if that's the kind of place you're looking for.

host profile [Jan 20, 2010]:
-> Franz-JosefFranz stayed on our farm in Normandy from mid- October to the end of December 2009 and was very helpful, hard working, quiet and polite. He always did the jobs he was asked to do (for us, it was lots of painting) and was a pleasant person to have staying with our family. We would recommend him as a reliable Workaway-er.
