  We, Lois and Tom, have both been travellers and still enjoy travelling. Besides travelling we enjoy vintage cars. Tom's daily drive is a Citroen 2cv and we are actively involved in that car club and have enjoyed many adventures in the remote regions of Australia with those little cars. We are also interested in Austin 7's however that is a far more gentile car activity.
  We are now both retired but retain our active interest in life. Particularly he is, as you can imagine, interested in the development of electric vehicles and the use of solar energy. That is far from his only interest and we often joke that Tom has to live for at least seven life times to achieve all of his dreams and plans. We have recently moved home and so Tom is currently working on many home projects including building a significant sized shed in order to be able to continue some of those projects. On the other hand Lois is far more concerned with trying to keep a balanced life style and keep the house running in good order. Sadly she is not really a great gardener but she would like to develop this aspect of her home. She enjoys the caring roles in life and likes nothing more than to have guests for a visit and a meal so be prepared to relax over the evening meal and share the evening company.
  Our children have left home and have children themselves. We are both non-smokers.
  Please note that while we have indicated that we can accept 2 workerawayers this is only if they are a couple who share the same bed.
  We love having guests and we always do our best to make sure our guests feel welcome, comfortable and enjoy their stay. We have a lot of fun so be prepared to exercise you laugh muscles
  We are trying to learn French so if you have skills in this language you will be especially welcome.

  We will do everything we can to make you comfortable. We love to encourage people to see the very best of our state. Tom is mechanically minded and if you are thinking of buying a car to travel the state, this is a great place to start.

  We are busy with several projects. Lois would like some help in the garden of our house that we have recently moved to. We are also renovating a small house whereby we could use a helping hand. For this project I could use someone that is simply assisting me with several jobs.
  In exchange for about 25 hours a week we will provide you with a comfortable living.

  We live in a suburb of Perth that is quite close to the airport if that is how you arrive. We are very happy to pick you up from there or at a train station. There is a bus service that is only a short walk from the house and will take you direct to Murdoch Train station which is an excellent link into the city. Perth and its environs have many beautiful beaches and lots of lovely things to visit.
  For those with a vehicle within a day's drive are many interesting place to see and for the more adventurous you will find that WA is a place of great diversity. Within a day's drive are the Pinnacles desert, Geraldton and then (2 days drive) Kalbarri. Kalbarri has now been developed to show the wonderful gorges and beaches for those not wanting to venture to the far north. However should you wish to go further North you find a very special world. The red earth, dry barren areas, wonderful gorges and casual busy towns make for a hard but beautiful environment. Once you have visited the north you will fall in love with it.
  Going south you will find world class vineyards, and lovely touristic destinations. In the forested regions you can climb the Diamond tree 51 metres and at the top see over the forest canopy from a lookout cabin. Also in the south is the Treetop Walk which is utterly brilliant in the unique tingle tree forests. Albany is a beautiful city in the south which saw the first European settlement in the state. Its a lovely town to visit, the fishing is fantastic and cliffs are famous for being spectacular Esperance and Bremer bay on the south coast have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. However beware, the water is cold!
  And of course we cannot leave without mentioning the Goldfields. A good long drive from Perth, through the wheat fields lies the goldfields. Kalgoorlie and Leonora. Well worth a visit and the museums will open your eyes to the challenges those early miners had to face in their quest for gold.
  Having travelled a lot we know a few of the pitfalls that can befall the traveler. We will try to tell you about the cultural norms in Australia.
  WA has everything and you will love it.

  We do have a good wifi connection and workerawayers will have their own room. A small desk can be put into the room to facilitate this if it is required.

  There is adequate parking however it is not undercover as the height of our garage does not allow this even for our own camper vehicle.
