We run a husky farm and a centre for Arctic and Polar exploration. Our husky farm has, at present, 55 adult dogs and 26 pups. Throughout the year, there are standard tasks that volunteers can help with on the farm and then there are additional daily duties that change with the seasons: from lead-dog / puppy training and construction / maintenance work around the farm in the Summer, to conditioning and safari preparation work in the Autumn, and running safaris and entertaining guests in the Winter and Spring. Our farm is c. 4km from the main village in the region of Enontekio, in finnish Lapland. There is a small downhill ski centre locally and numerous XC ski tracks / hiking trails through one of the most beautiful national parks in Scandinavia nearby. The farm owners are ex professional athletes / explorers - one of whom was the first finn to complete an unsupported expedition to the South Pole, so this is a good place to visit for those who really want to expand their outdoor skills.

I am a writer and storyteller born in Scotland but have spent a great deal of time in Italy and I am currently living my lifelong dream of restoring a lovely old Tuscan villa and am looking for volunteers to help in exchange for full bed and board. I am hoping to be totally self sufficient here in my little homestead and to create an eco friendly food garden. I hope in the future to be able to host workshops here and enjoy visits from my very large and very busy family and group of friends. This is a beautiful part of Tuscany, in the mountains, surrounded by chestnut forests and rivers but close enough to the beach and skiing resorts (40 mins) to offer the best of all worlds. 15 mins from the fabulous medieval (and market) town of Pontremoli and just over an hour from Pisa, under 2 hours from Parma, Milan, Florence, Bologna and many other beautiful cities. It has everything including cheap and frequent flights to and from Pisa!

We are always looking for helpers at our backpackers in QL. Our hostel style tourist retreat is more of an eco-resort than a backpackers, this excellent retreat is set on 6.5 hectares of bushland 1.5km out of town. Only minutes away from pristine beaches and National Parks. We provide double rooms and four bedroom dorms in clean, airy timber cabins , there's an open-air meditation area, swiming pool, an ultra cool communal chill-out zone as well as own own private lake. We have planted hundreds of plants and trees which are always in need of attention. And of course, lots of cleaning work to be done.

We run a massage centre located on a beautiful island , one of the few places which the Greeks have kept a secret from foreign tourist intervention. It is the second largest of all the Greek islands and has an abundance of mountains, pine forests, beaches and hot springs. We are situated in a small village close to the island’s capital which can be easily reached by bus, train or car as there is a bridge connecting us to the mainland. We have a spacious, old country home with a large shady garden which boasts almond, eucalyptus, fig, lemon and orange trees with plenty of hammocks attached to them. We are also within biking distance from both the sea and the mountains.
