Hello everyone! My name is Ana Carolina (or simply Nina), I'm 23 years old, and I'm a lively Brazilian with a lot of passions. Currently, I live on my own in Porto Alegre, the state Capital, where I just graduated in Law.
Despite my young age, I'm extremely independent. I have been living on my own for the past five years, which has taught me valuable lessons in responsibility and self-sufficiency. Additionally, when I was just 15/16 years old, I had the incredible opportunity to spend a year in Belgium Flanders, studying HoReCa. This experience ignited my true passion for cooking and provided me with unforgettable moments in the gastronomic world.
One of my skills is learning new languages. I have been fluent in English since I was very young, and I learned Spanish during high school, although nowadays I don't have much opportunity to practice it. During my time in Belgium, I also learned Dutch, which gave me a solid foundation in that language. Moreover, I took French classes in Belgium, allowing me to understand it well, although I struggle a bit with speaking. Growing up in an Italian-descendant family, I also speak Italian, which I love, but since I learned Italian from listening my parents and grandparents talk, it’s hard for me to write. The exposure to different languages has fueled my desire to improve my fluency in each of them.
Cultural diversity has always been cherished in my family. When I was only 7 years old, we hosted an American boy in our home for a year, and shortly after my own exchange program, we welcomed an Italian girl also for a year. We maintain frequent contact with their families, as well as the family my brother stayed with during his exchange program in Germany and the family my mother stayed with during her workaway experience in France. These connections have turned into special friendships, and we visit them regularly. I learned from my family the importance of learning and respecting different cultures.
My curiosity for other cultures is reflected in my passion for international cuisine. My brother and I are always on the lookout for new foods and recipes from around the world. When I'm with my friends, who are an essential part of my life, I love cooking delicious dishes to share with them.
Family events are also very dear to me. We enjoy gathering friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents for relaxed moments filled with good food – usually prepared by me. My charcuterie boards and baked goods are usually a hit on these occasions.
Through workaway, I have the opportunity to immerse myself fully in different cultures and contribute to the lives of the hosts who welcome me. It's a wonderful way to broaden my horizons and create lasting memories.
I hope that now you have a better idea of who I am. I am ready to explore new places, meet incredible people, and savor exotic flavors from around the world.

First and foremost, I'm a passionate cook, constantly exploring the vast world of cuisine. But that's not all—I'm fluent in English and my native language, Portuguese. If you're interested in learning Portuguese or English, I'd be delighted to teach you!
Living on my own for the past five years has taught me a great deal of self-reliance. When something needs fixing around the house, I'm the one who takes charge, even if it means resorting to Google or watching YouTube videos to learn the ropes ;). I'm always up for a challenge and thrive on acquiring new skills quickly.
Driving is another one of my capabilities, I'm comfortable behind the wheel, so whether it's helping with grocery shopping or running errands, I'm more than happy to hop behind the wheel and assist wherever needed.
One thing you should know about me is that I'm a bit of a perfectionist. I take great pride in everything I do and strive to achieve excellence. I won't settle for anything less than perfection, and I'll work diligently until things are just as good as I envision them to be.
So, whether it's whipping up a delicious meal, sharing my language knowledge, tackling household projects, or diving headfirst into new learning experiences, I'm always ready to give my all. I'm driven by a genuine desire to make things exceptional and leave a positive impact.
