Hii, I’m Margherita, nice to meet you!
I’m a full time bachelor student in the process of getting a Political, Social and International Sciences degree. I’m currently on an Erasmus semester in Bergen, Norway, and I would love to experience what nordic countries have to offer beyond student life. I’ll be writing my bachelor thesis this summer, but that’s a part time activity so I’m looking for a fun opportunity to keep myself busy!!

I’m taking a gap year next – which means a lot of traveling ahead!
My goal for the near future is to understand exactly what I want to do in life; I’m not clueless of course, but I would like some real-life experience before I fully commit to a path. I know I want to incorporate sustainability into my work, but I haven’t exactly figured out what that means for me yet!

Que habilidades tienes?

I’m a quick learner and working independently doesn’t scare me even in fields I’m new to, so put me to the test! I’m confident, approachable and I engage with people easily.

I have some experience babysitting and helping kids/young teens with homework, which has made me a patient teacher and carer. I love creative play and creating stories to engage with them. I know from experience what’s it’s like to be frustrated from learning, and I always make it a point to break down difficult things into easier steps to make learning more rewarding.

I like working with and around animals, and I would love to gain some experience taking care of different species (especially farm animals and reptiles). I have my own dog that I trained, and I have dog-sat/walked multiple dogs in the past, some of which reactive, so I know my way around them. I regularly cat-sit for neighbors and family, and I have some experience with bunnies and chickens as well. In general, no animal is too scary for me to approach and handle, but always with the utmost respect for their space and needs!

I would like to gain some experience in customer service, in the hospitality industry specifically. I have done some online tutoring and assistance, so I know how to address clients’ needs and make their experience enjoyable. I have also waited tables a few times in a very informal context, but overall I am very new to the food industry.
But again, I would love to learn! I’m a very neat, orderly person with an eye for detail and a good memory, so I think I could do really well if given a chance. Stressful environments don’t really affect the quality of my work and I’m very organized, which I’m pretty sure comes in handy in a kitchen ;)

I love the outdoors, both in summer and in winter (my all-time favorite season). I don’t mind working outside, and I’m pretty strong so I can handle some manual labor. I have a lot of fun trying new sports and activities at a chill pace, even if I’m not that good at it (if you want a laugh, ask me about my first time skiing)!

Cooking and baking are a love language for me, I’m far from being a professional but I make good homemade meals for my family on a daily basis. I admittedly like to experiment with my dishes, but I can definitely stick to Italian classics if that’s what you’d like. I cook vegan and vegetarian recipes too, which means that I can be helpful with dietary requirements.
