Hi, we're Rémi and Manon, a couple travelling from France to South East Asia, mostly by overland trip 🌏🚃.

It's not the destination but the journey that matters 😍🛤️
We wouldn't like our trip to look like a teleportation to the other side of the world.
We aim at travelling slowly, at deeply connecting with people we meet, and countries we visit.
We're craving new human and work experiences. This trip will be a precious way to develop skills in various fields.

Let's introduce ourselves :

Hey, I'm Rémi !
I just turned 31.
I used to work as a freelance computer engineer before leaving, but I'm thinking about retraining (I might be interested in journalism or law studies).
I'm keen on sport. Not only I like practicing some sports, as bicycling, playing tennis, running, but I also read a lot about it 🏃🏾🚴🏽
I like cooking, but to be honest what I prefer is eating tasty plates (like raclette cheese !! 😋).
What I love above all are simple experiences that make you feel free,close to the nature, back to the basics. I felt that way when I spent 2 weeks on a sailboat in Bretagne, or when I did trekking in Corse mountains on the GR20 Route. These two moments were mindblowing ! 🥾⛵️

Hi, my name is Manon.
I'm 29 years old.
My first passion in life is ... travelling (or spending time dreaming about escaping far away 😂).
But I also love learning new languages, cooking and eating ( gluten free and veggie dishes 😅🙈), dancing, ... I'm also interested in stand up comedy, politics, ...
I work as a medical resident specialized in gynecology. 👩🏻‍⚕️This job makes me feel more and more concerned about gender violences, and I realize that I mean to fight against that, and why not study gender studies in the future...
I've lived one month in Seville (Spain) for an internship, and 6 months in London to work as an aupair girl. I can't wait to live abroad again !

We both come from the French Alps, but we've also lived in Lyon, and a few months in Paris just before our departure.

The most precious moments in our life are the ones we spend with our family and our friends.

On the one hand, we love talking about life, thinking about how to fight systemic oppressions and violence, dreaming about a fair and peacefull world.
On the other hand, we enjoy just having a drink, and laughing during hours together saying silly things ! 🥰

But we currently feel like we need change, we need to open our horizons, to meet new people and to make friends all over the world.
We need a real pause in our daily routine to discover other ways of life, other cultures, other ways of thinking, other relations with people and nature.

We are really interested in learning languages. We can also teach you French language, or a bit of English language. Manon used to work as an aupair girl in London so she's used to speak English. We both talk a bit of Spanish and would love to improve it.

We are both hardworking, curious, motivated persons.
We've both had various work experiences.
We are used to learn quickly new jobs, with new work mates. We have developed a great adaptability.

👩🏻 Manon :
Before leaving, I used to work as a medical resident specialized in gynecology.
I worked in Paris as a gynecologist during several months in medical centre specialized in women health.
I developed skills thanks to my studies and my job : rigor, perfectionism, perseverance, sense of responsability, human skills as empathy and listening skills...
I previously worked as a nurse, as a cleaner, as a care assistant in hospitals, private clinics, and at patients home.

What's more, I worked as an aupair girl in London during 6 months. I used to take care of two kids : a 3 and a 6 years old lovely boys.

I have :
-driving license
-English skills : B1-B2 approximately
-Spanish skills : A2-B1 approximately
