I love to travel and have been to many countries, as a student, with my family and for work. I speak English, French, and conversational Spanish and Mandarin. I love puzzles and view learning a language as a fun puzzle: how does the grammar work, how are words related, how do the words and phrases reflect the culture. After working 20+ years, I am taking a break to learn more about sustainable solutions to housing/construction, as well as ways to protect oceans and marine life.

I am friendly and outgoing, hardworking, and curious to keep learning. I enjoy teaching (I taught English in China for a year) and have 2 grown daughters.

For fun, I travel; I also do yoga, bake, and bike. My construction skills are basic carpentry, with knowledge of simple plumbing and electricity. I am very excited to do a WorkAway!

I have a wide range of skills: I can teach English (I taught English for a year in Beijing), I have worked in banking and can help with financial projects. I have renovated homes and can paint, tile, and do basic carpentry. I am familiar with doing basic plumbing, and electric work as well. I love camping and can make fires and knots.

I can cook meals, bake desserts. I can snorkel, scuba dive and sail.
I am strong and am willing to do whatever is needed.
