Descripción
We live on a yard in a typical Swedish country house and 5 hectars of forest and grassland by the Råne River in the North of Sweden, about 60 km south of the Arctic Circle. We fell totally in love with this area and the Nordic lifestyle and would love to share that passion with you! We also have so many ideas and projects which we would love to share with you as well.
We are:
Anne, 39 years, German, travel agent and guide.
Andi, 38, Swiss, carpenter and outdoor guide.
Mikko, 3 years, born in Sweden, loves water, sand and dogs.
The dogs: We share our life with 18 beautiful sled dogs, most of them Siberian Huskies, all of them love to cuddle and pull a sled.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

We live in a beautiful area in the North of Sweden.
We come from Switzerland and Germany but have been living in Sweden for a few years, so we are very familiar with the Swedish culture. It means you can learn about 3 cultures during your stay with us ;-) We have travelled a lot ourselves and love to share stories and experience and of course our passion for the Nordic lifestyle with you!
If you are interested in dogsledding or dogs in general you can learn how we care for our pack of sleddogs, train and work with them. Depending on the time period, you might join training runs with the dog cart or sled or other fun outdoor activities.El anfitrión ofrece una paga acorde al salario mínimo

Ayuda
During summer (June - August) we have a lot of smaller and bigger projects, building, painting, general maintenance and some creative fun projects. The help might include clipping grass, cutting trees, painting, tidying up, gardening as well as help with some building projects. To our family also belong 18 friendly huskies and if you like dogs, also feeding and spending time with them could be part of your help.
Autumn (September - November) is the time for training the dogs and prepare them, us and the yard for the winter time. The work includes feeding the dogs, cleaning the dogyard, help with the training by driving on a cart or ATV. Other tasks might be general maintanance or some help in the household.
During winter (December - April) we work with tourism and have guests here almost every day, which is a lot of fun and a lot of work. Then we need help with feeding the dogs, cleaning their kennels, preparing food and equipment for the tours, cleaning the guest cabin and occasionally pick up and drop off guests by car. Also shoveling snow is a regular part of the job and can be physically challenging on days with a lot of fresh snow.
Important to us is that you like to work in a team but also can work on easier tasks independently and you see where help is needed and don´t just walk away from it. We like to work and have a positive attitude towards all kinds of tasks and projects and we expect the same from you. What you do exactly depends not only on what there is to do but also on what you are good at and what you would like to learn.Idiomas hablados

You can use a bike during your stay. There is a bus connection to Boden and you can also use a car to drive to the city or to nearby sights after agreement. In only 3 km you reach the cozy village Gunnarsbyn with a shop, church and gas station. During summer there are summer cafés, concerts and other fun events. During autumn and winter there is a small cinema. The next sand beach by the river is a 7 km away, the Baltic Sea 40 km.
