I am a American/ German who just finished finished university in Boston, U.S. and wants to take some time off to travel before starting work. I have always wanted to solo-travel and explore new places in the world by myself. I'm passionate about sustainability and environmental issues, and hope to work in that field in the future.

I love to spend time outside (hiking, swimming, biking) and also enjoy being around animals and kids. I would really like to work on a farm or somewhere where I can get my hands dirty and connect with the earth.

I am a very friendly, compassionate person and get along with pretty much anyone I meet. I'm a fast learner, adapt easily to new situations and love a good challenge!

This is my first experience doing a solo-travel, but not my first experience staying with a host family (I travelled a lot for sports in high school). I am very respectful of the host and their space. I am quiet and tidy, and have a good sense of self-awareness. I have a ton of experience working with children (as a volunteer teacher and nanny), and really love spending time with them!

Most of my outdoor experience comes from gardening, but I consider myself to be an athletic, handy person who loves building things. I have never worked on a farm, but it is something I am definitely interested in as an animal lover.

I also speak fluent English, mostly fluent German, and a little bit of Spanish and am always open to learning new things.

I love being active, so working out, hiking, biking. I would love to get more into yoga. I also love to crochet and am learning to knit.

vom Host (Help on our small family farm ...) für Workawayer (Sarah)

Sarah is a wonderful person, it has been really nice having her stay at our farm. She is hardworking, punctual and has always done a little extra. She is kind and good with both animals and kids. She is helpful and always nice to talk to. Any future host would be lucky to have here. We hope she will come back to us in the future!
