Beschreibung

Although I am new to the workaway site, I have hosted a lot of couch surfers in my home, so the workaway mentality is not far away from me. When I was younger (I'm 37 now) I traveled a lot. I hitchhiked many times and went wherever the road took me. I met a lot of great people and had great experiences. My philosophy is that even if I can't always give back what I got, I try to give it back to the big community. I lived in New Caledonia, Morocco, France. These experiences shaped me a lot. They made me open to the world and influenced my carreer choices.
I have been living in Hungary for quite a few years now. I worked with refugees. Since they had been waiting for me to go back to university for many years, I started a doctoral school in history last year.
I am interested in gardening and home improvement. Not so long ago we managed to buy a very small house with a large garden. My partner and I have done all kinds of work ourselves. Painting, sanding, plastering... I really enjoyed it. I like to see the results of my work.
We only use natural elements in our garden. We leave leaves on the ground, we have chickens instead of herbicides... I am still learning and experimenting with gardening. I grew up in a house with a garden, in the countryside, but for 10 years I have lived mostly in cities. I like animals very much. We adopted two dogs. We have chickens.

I am also interested in history, literature and languages. I completed my studies in history and literature. At the beginning, I studied north african history. Lately, I have been focused on colonization in the broad sense, particularly as it relates to the French overseas territories. My current research topic concerns the settlements in French Guiana after the Second World War. My travels and my numerous acquaintances awakened my interest in the question of postcolonial identity.


Bien que je sois nouvelle sur le site workaway, j'ai hébergé beaucoup de couch surfeurs chez moi, donc la mentalité workaway n'est pas loin de moi. Quand j'étais plus jeune (j'ai 37 ans maintenant), j'ai beaucoup voyagé. J'ai fait plusieurs fois du stop et j'ai été partout où la route me menait. J'ai rencontré beaucoup de gens formidables et j'ai vécu de belles expériences. Ma philosophie est que même si je ne peux pas toujours rendre ce que j'ai reçu, j'essaye de le rendre à la grande communauté. J'ai vécu en Nouvelle Calédonie, au Maroc, en France. Ces expériences m'ont beaucoup marqué. Ils m’ont ouverte sur le monde et ont influencé mes choix de carrière.
Je vis en Hongrie depuis plusieurs années maintenant. J'ai travaillé avec des réfugiés. Comme on attendait depuis de nombreuses années que je retourne à l’université, j’ai commencé l’année dernière une école doctorale en histoire.
Je m'intéresse au jardinage et à la rénovation domiciliaire. Il n’y a pas si longtemps, nous avons réussi à acheter une toute petite maison avec un grand jardin. Mon partenaire et moi avons réalisé nous-mêmes toutes sortes de travaux. Peinture, ponçage, plâtrerie... J'ai beaucoup apprécié. J’aime voir les résultats de mon travail.
Nous utilisons uniquement des éléments naturels dans notre jardin. Nous laissons des feuilles au sol, nous avons des poules à la place des herbicides... J'apprends et expérimente encore le jardinage. J'ai grandi dans une maison avec jardin, à la campagne, mais depuis 10 ans je vis majoritairement en ville. J'aime beaucoup les animaux. Nous avons adopté deux chiens. Nous avons des poules.

Je m'intéresse également à l'histoire, à la littérature et aux langues. J'ai complété mes études en histoire et en littérature. Au début, j'ai étudié l'histoire de l'Afrique du Nord. Ces derniers temps, je me suis concentré sur la colonisation au sens large, notamment en ce qui concerne les territoires français d'outre-mer. Mon sujet de recherche actuel concerne les implantations en Guyane après la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Mes voyages et mes nombreuses rencontres ont éveillé mon intérêt pour la question de l'identité postcoloniale.
