Right now I'm getting my UC flare up under the control in Bangkok, planning to re-join my friends traveling Laos, moving to Taiwan for a month and hopefully to Mongolia next.

Hello Workawayers 🌞🌱🏔

My name is Adrian, I'm 26 years old fresh graduate from Slovakia. 🇸🇰
Since I was 18, I was trying to combine studies, part-time jobs and travels. Now I would like to gain more experience in volunteering.

I have been studying in Czech Republic, Malaysia and Portugal and working in England, Germany, Iceland and Norway. Also volunteering in Portugal, Gran Canaria, Nepal or Sri Lanka.

Last two years were the most challenging ones for me so far. I have suddenly lost my mum who raised me alone and around the same time developed ulcerative colitis - inflammatory bowel disease which is trying to hold me back from my dream, living freely all around the world.

My approach now is to take a holistic look on my health - mental and physical, and that's why I would love to find some volunteering among people thinking this way. Different than what "we" do in western world.

I believe that some time spent close to the nature would help me find my peace. 🪜🎨🌿🧘🏽🏞🌊

UPDATE: I have already started thanks to this app and I volunteered in an Ashram in East Nepal, learning about yoga, meditations and ayurveda. And also in Sri Lanka, in a budhist monastery teaching English young monks and learning about Budhism (and Kung fu 😅) among them.

What makes me happy: sunny days, rainy days, summer storms, smell of a forest, sound of the ocean, sunsets and sunrises in the mountains, sleeping under the stars, unknown, shared happines, genuine people, locals sharing their knowledge.. and many many more

What can I offer: a pair of hands willing to get dirty, honest opinion if asked 😅, lots of laughters, mix of experiences from my eastern European childhood, western European education, mostly Asian travels. I studied turism, marketing communication, or International relations ..haven't build a career in any of these fields BUT experiencing it everyday in a real life situations! 😁 Let me prove it:

Making travel content for social sites of a company providing me with flight tickets, working in a gastronomy and services during my summers in Norway or Iceland to pay my bills, making friends in every country I have visited and keeping them, is an International relations skill haha.

My goal is not to be the best in one field, better to learn a bit from any field.

and that's why I'm here :))

I started studying Spanish and now also Portuguese language, so I would love to continue and gain some experience, if anyone would be willing to teach me. I would also love to offer my language to you, but I don't believe there would be anyone interested to learn speaking Slovak or Czech haha

I have always been working as bartender, waiter or help in the kitchen. I grew up in house, so I was always helping with gardening, chopping wood, mowing, painting..

I am also a student of marketing communication so I can help with your social media, if you are building some community or just want to present your project online. (:

I also have a driving license for car and small motocycle.

Was noch ...

The best way to start my day is to wake up with the Sun, go outside breath, stretch with yoga and meditate.

Eating with the Sun is also my goal, but sometimes I'm still late with my dinners. If my health allows me I do like to fast according to Ekadashi.

Avoiding alcohol, sugars, deep fried, gluten, lactose and processed food in a first place.

Love snowboarding, rollerblading, cycling and I'm getting better in learning surfing finally.

Life matters most when is packed on my back, preferably with a tent or hammock, tiny notes for my paintings, homebaked healthy pie and a camp stove to make some herbal tea for a susnet.

And my goals? To create more, fear less, listen to my body, slow down, disconnect to really connect.
