Planning to cycle the Euro Velo Route 1 this year, wild camping my way between meditation and retreat centres. I'm interested in spirituality (Buddhism, zen and tao), philosophy, chess & reading

Beschreibung

Connection. Community. Harmony.

When I was 20 I moved to China for a few years and travelled around Asia. Since then I've worked for national charities and local government. I'm seeking a change from my office job and the 9 - 5 pace of life. I want to reconnect with nature, make new friends, learn new skills and travel again. I'm most interested in carpentry, construction, garden design, permaculture and meditation and want to develop those skills specifically.

I am cycling through Western Europe on the Eurovelo 1 route, volunteering at meditation centres and spiritual retreats. I want to develop my inner balance and experience living in the moment again. I'm very attracted to communal living with people who share similar values and am a tidy houseguest.

I'm a very outgoing and gregarious person with a playful and fun-loving nature. I enjoy practical hands on work and have outlined some specific interests in this profile but would be more or less happy to turn my hand to anything so long as it helps. I genuinely believe our purpose on earth is to help others.

My hobbies are varied but include reading (love Cormac McCarthy, anything about Buddhism, Eastern philosophy, literary classics or a good crime thriller like Ian Rankin), writing short stories and poetry, chess and boardgames in general, cycling and martial arts.
