Beschreibung

Hi, my name is Guillaume.

I travel a lot and when my holidays are long enough, I prefer to use Workaway as it's a great way to get deeper into a culture.

I used it a lot during my past travels. I did a Workaway for 6 months in a hostel in Taiwan (cooking breakfast for customers, cleaning, guided tours of Taipei, etc.). I also did it in Singapour, where I was helping a homeschooled boy to learn his lessons, and took care of the dogs. I volunteered in a english language school in Vietnam as well. In another trip in Australia, I helped a family with painting the outside of the house and cooking, and I worked in an almond farm and in a homestay (gardening, cleaning the swimming pool, etc).

I have a heavy experience of tourism and hospitality, I used to work in a 5 stars Hotel in the heart of Paris (Hôtel du Louvre) as a bellman, but also in hostels around the world.

Lately, I was working in the French Blood Bank, but my contract ended and so I'm back to travelling :D I had some experience as freelance journalist (wrote a bunch of articles), about foreign cultures, international affairs... I am always very interested by other people projects and stories.

I am passionate about discovering other cultures, that is why when I travel, I like to take my time and immerse into a place, language and culture, instead of rushing for the touristic places.

I am learning guitar by myself, I love it a lot, but for the well-being of your ears, I do not play in public... I love to write, I wrote few articles for different medias, and also an universitary article about the lobby of plasma medication in Europe.
