Beschreibung

Hi there,
we are Steffen 38 (carpenter) & Aline 37 (cultural manager), a couple from Germany currently taking a year off to travel, meeting interesting people, making new experiences and hopefully thinking outside the box.

We`ve been living in a community with 30 people in one big house for the past 9 years and are well used to sharing our everyday life with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Together with friends, we have both organised and built up festivals and other cultural events in the past.

We enjoy nature and all things connected with it very much. Such as hiking,kajaking, fishing or having a nice time at the campfire. Community living, music and arts events and meeting new people is as important to us as is being able to step back and having a more quiet time.
We live in our van but depending on the weather or on site circumstances are also happy to live in a house every now and then. This is not obligatory though.

Our journey will start end of June 2023 in Norway, from mid May 2024 we will be heading towards the east ( Balkans, Romania, Greece, Turkey, Georgia)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Steffen is a professional builder / carpenter. He is a true natural wood enthusiast and builds apart from houses, fassades, sheds etc. furniture, like beds or tables. His work is unique and connected to the material and place provided. Over all he is interested in all kinds of creative construcional projects.

I, Aline, have been working as a cultural manager for the past 5 years. I`m good at organising and love to connect people. I have been part of a culture collective for 10 years, worked in gastronomy for 8 years and was a personal assistent for disabled people for 2 years alongside my studies of political sciences and history. I would describe myself as a foodie which for me means: I love cooking (also for big groups), I have had first experiences in growing my own veggies and I`m very interested in learning more about farming and natural processing of food as well as handcrafts.
During my travels I was lucky to gain first experiences in tree planting, clay construction and off grid living.

We are searching for exciting projects, as well as the chance to get to know locals and share their everyday life at least for a while.
