My stay with Ingrid was my last one in Norway. I stayed with Ingrid 12 days and she welcomed me very warmly in her beautiful house located in a beautiful place between sea and forrest. The jobs I had to do were very easy and Ingrid was always working with me, I was never alone. I'm glad that she enjoyed when we decluttered the cellar. Ingrid spent

So to sum I'd like to thank you Ingrid for the good days I spent with you.

Hello Philippe, sorry for the late feedback.
Philippe was with me for 12 days in August and was my last workawayer for this year.
He helped me clean out my basement and it was a good fit that he likes to do physical work. There were a lot of heavy boxes to transport, which I wouldn't have been able to do without Philippe. We managed to collect a

Philippe managed all of this with a naturalness and great willingness to help.
It was also very nice that it was very natural for him to clean up after himself, wash up after meals, clean the bathroom and leave his room clean.
We had some very interesting discussions, watched a film with a good glass of wine, went on a nice trip in the area or we were busy with our own things. Philippe is a very nice person and very accommodating.
He even made 2 of his famous cakes. The second time, even my daughter was able to enjoy the delicious lemon cake when she visited me.
Thank you for all your help! You are always welcome.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Ingrid's place for 3 weeks, and we had a fantastic experience.
First day, she picked us up at a nearby city, and she was already showing us around that city and telling us some facts about it, she makes sure you get the cultural part from doing the Workaway. From the very first moment, we felt super welcomed at her

Ingrid is a great person to be around, she is very kind, positive, funny and there were always good vibes. She is very helpful, anything you ask, she will at least try her best to help you. Without us even asking, our first weekend, she offered to take us on a road trip around the Peninsula. Then, she would stop at viewpoints, galleries and nice places to see and would tell us about information and some stories about it. And it was like that for the rest of the stay, she took us to see many charming places, and when we went on our own, she would also give many recommendations on what we could do.
Regarding work, we painted on the dining room, windows, and the bathroom, we helped around the garden with cropping the grass, weeding, trimming bushes and other small tasks. Overall, it was easy going, we would play music while we worked, and we actually enjoyed helping because she deserved it.
On breaks, we would cook ourselves whatever we wanted to eat and for dinner she would always make some delicious and colorful meals. We will definitely miss her food and the conversations we had while we ate together.
We had a such a great stay at Ingrid's, and we certainly recommend her as a host. Hope we can visit her again some day, we are very thankful!

I also fondly remember the trips we took together and the lovely discussions over dinner. When it came to food, they were really very uncomplicated and grateful consumers of my cooking :)
You are always welcome back!

I want to dedicate these words to Ingrid, my host and friend from my last trip.

She taught me how to make marble cakes and other fruit cakes.
I also want to thank her friend Marget for the wonderful day we spent with her and her kindness.
I wish to express my deepest gratitude for the treatment received and feel like one more among her friends.
Finally, I want to recommend this host to those people who want to work and share some time with an extraordinary kind woman and better person.

It was a great pleasure to have Mariano with me.
He loves working in the garden where he helped me a lot with trimming bushes, cutting down trees, planting tomatoes etc. Mariano really "tidyed up" my garden. It was a lot of hard work that he didn't give up until everything was done and I am very grateful to him for that.

He is THE Mr. Workaway: hardworking, friendly, humorous, well behaved and he has a lot of experience from previous Workaway placements.

Ingrid was our first host and thanks to her hospitality she won't be the last one for us.

What a great week with you! You passed the exam in cementing and working with wood, became specialists in "pulling lions' teeth", treated me to Italian food and filled my stomach with laughter. I'm very curious about what the new pasta dish with ants tastes like :)

Staying with Ingrid was our first workaway experience and it couldn't have been better.
Ingrid gave us a very warm welcome and showed us two places in the area. Later, Ingrid took us on a tour of the peninsula and showed us sights such as: viking graves.
We felt very welcome in her home. We had a great room of our own and had space for our
… read more things in the closet. Ingrid emphasized again and again that this is now our home and she not only said that but also lived it. We also received a very friendly and curious welcome from the neighbors.
From Ingrid's home it's a short bus ride to the next town with shopping opportunities. If you want to go hiking, you can start right behind the house and enjoy the wonderful nature for hours. (Forest and stream or beach and fjord)
Ingrid still has many ideas and projects for the house. We painted, trimmed fruit trees, tore down an old staircase (that was a lot of fun) and built a new staircase. Manual skills are an advantage but not necessary. We discussed the tasks to be completed but were able to divide our work ourselves. In the evenings we sat in the kitchen or by the fireplace for hours and talked about many different topics, which was a lot of fun. But it wasn't a problem if you secluded yourself and watched YouTube (the WiFi is great).
What really impressed us was how much effort Ingrid put into the food. In general, the fridge was always open to us and she always asked us if we needed anything from the supermarket. Ingrid always cooked in the evenings and made a lot of effort to take our eating habits into account. With her, no one has to go to bed hungry. Her yogurt cake in particular was so incredibly delicious that we will definitely bake it ourself.
Ingrid was not only our host, but also became a friend. We thank you for the great time and the unforgettable moments.
