We are a family of five living on the south west coast of Norway. We run a small organic farm on the shore of the sea. We are building up our farm and have a lot of plans and ideas of what we want to do. We are moving slowly towards a permaculture farm and find our life very exciting, challenging and meaningfull. We have sheep and pigs and feed up some calfs from time to time. We want chickens. We also grow food for the animals and potatoes, vegetables to our self and for sale. We also have some fruits and berries. Most of the time we have smaller or bigger buildingprojects. The farm and small children and some extra work to get in some extra money fill most of our time. But we very much like to get out and about in the mountains, forest, sea or anywhere nice to explore around us. We also love books, games and a good conversation. We are trying to make as little mark on earth as possible without being to successful...

my husband martin and myself philiippa live in a lovely area of the ariege pyrenees, we have four children two are away at uni and two; angelica aged 12 and Lotty aged 17 live at home.We have two dogs and two cats and two goldfish!! We run a small restaurant/tea shop in the nearby medieval town of Foix where we sell local products produced in the ariege,we are only open during the day so are always home in the evening for the girls. We are an outgoing lively family with plenty going on and are all bilingual (french and english) we are also very easy going and have a pretty relaxed attituted to life:

I run a Performing Arts Centre. I live alone and since my husband passed away it has all led to my sharing this beautiful piece of heaven with all who love music. Beautiful 45 Acres on the North Thompson river and I host 5 Concerts every summer, featuring major names in the music industry. I also rent the venue out for other events such as, wedding receptions, school renuinons and private functions. So it's all about the music here and meeting amazing performers and making wonderful new friends...we never know what the day will bring.

We are a family with one child 4 years old girl Ela. Ela is going to an English speaking nursery school. For summer 2013 we need English speaking sister for Ela to our summer cottage in Cesme, Izmir. The primary task of the lovely, energic and creative big sister will be to talk English with Ela and make her talk back in English. During the day time you will play together, swim in the private swimming pool as well as on the close by beaches, which we normally go twice a week. You should also read English books to Ela, and ask questions to see if she has understood it. You can also make your own theatrical plays with inspiration from the books. Our summer house is a villa with 4 rooms. In our land we have private swimming pool, fruit trees, olive trees, grapes, kitchen garden with various fresh vegetables, two dogs and one cat, hens. The mother Mine, lived and studied in Sweden, so she is Swedish and English speaking. Mine has been working for the Swedish and Finnish Trade Councils in Istanbul before becoming a mother. And the father Fuat, was born in Germany, and has been working for many years with Swedish companies in Turkey. We are a Turkish family but with Scandinavian and European culture and know-how.

We live at the bottom of the Canterbury foothills on a small farm with our three children, two girls (7 and 5 years) and a boy (2 years). We moved into our newly build house last year and there are plenty of things going on around the place to keep us busy. We live about 60 kms from Christchurch near the main highway between Christchurch and the West Coast. We are only 30 minutes from the closest skifield and are surrounded by many lakes, rivers and walkways. Susan works fulltime in Christchurch so can provide a ride in on most days if required. We all enjoy meeting new people and learning about other cultures and see this as a great opportunity to show our children that there are lots of people out there who live differently to us.
