Help with olive harvest and stay in a Trullo in Italy
Descripción
We're an English family who moved to rural Puglia from London to try a different way of life. We need help in November and December with our olive harvest and general farm and buildings maintenance, then again between February and April with general land management and buildings maintenance.
We've renovated an old farm and converted it into a self-contained holiday villa and living accommodation for us. It's set in 4.5 acres of land planted mainly with olive and almond trees, and we have a small vegetable garden and keep a few chickens and a couple of sheep. We also have two dogs, three cats, a rabbit and a goldfish!
We've made a commitment to farm the land organically, as well as installing solar hot water panels, using wood from pruning the trees in our heating system and collecting rainwater to fill our cistern.

Keryn was one of three enthusiastic Workawayers who stayed with us in November to help with our olive harvest. Everyone worked very hard whatever the weather and also very easygoing. Thanks Keryn!
to stay at claire and andys place was fantastic. i stayed there for 3 weeks and helped with the olive harvest and some general work in the garden like weeding, rebuild the walls of some beds or painting wood for the sheepshelter... wasn't hard work. i stayed with two other workawayers in a beautiful trullo next door to their house so we had our more
Theresa was one of three enthusiastic volunteers who stayed with us in November to help with our olive harvest. They all worked through sun and rain without a word of complaint, and on top of helping with the olives they turned their hands to a range of other jobs needing to be done.
Claire and Andy were fantastic hosts, making my first workaway location an experience never to forget. Harvesting the olives was great fun, and being able to taste the olive oil afterwards was very special to know just where it came from! The children were friendly, charming and just as fantastic hosts!

We really enjoyed having Megan and Oscar to stay; they were easy going, interesting company, BRILLIANT with the children and were happy to do any job we threw at them. Thanks Oscar and Megan!
Claire and Andy were really friendly and welcoming. Their home is beautiful and their children charming. They were really fair about the work and we enjoyed many interesting conversations (and a few bottles of wine!) together. Thanks
claire + andy were such amazing hosts! their farm is amazing, their kids + critters are so sweet + fun and their area is full of beauty and fun things to explore. i learned so much! i got to plant tons of vegetable seeds, take care of the chickens, harvest carrots and paint! in the evening, we had great conversations over delicious claire-made more
Amy was our first workawayer and she was fantastic! She was consistently enthusiastic and always eager to tackle every job on our list. She fitted into family life with ease and was a pleasure to have stay with us. We highly recommend Amy for your workaway project.
We really enjoyed having Claire stay with us, she fitted in really well to our family life and was a very willing worker. She was happy to help out wherever she was needed, whether it was picking olives, painting the house or cleaning out the fridge. I can highly recommend Claire for any Workaway placement. Thanks Claire!
Maren was a brilliant workawayer - she was willing and able to have a go at everything, she was always cheerful and was a delightful guest who fitted into our family with ease. We can wholeheartedly recommend Maren for workaway projects.
