Área: austria, südburgenlandWe are a little family of three (our little boy is 1 1/2 now) living in a small commutiny. All in all we are 5 adults at the moment, our child and one baby coming. We live together in an older house with commune kitchen we build last summer, we cook together and enjoy living in the quiet neighbourhood of this area of Südburgenland. The area is really in the country side, should be the most sunny region of whole Austria (was very warm and friendly all year and very hot in the summer!). People who want to escape city-life and and the system come here for more than 30 years, thats why nearly all our neighbours are kind of old hippies with the same flow like us. That makes life here very easy and connected, everybody helps everybody with a smile.. Our food we get from the nearby bio-nature-shop or in best case, from the own garden. we just mooved in last year but the community wants to grow! so we decided to build our own little space in the big garden of the place. In the garden there are old apple- and nut-trees and much space for new vegetable growing, 3 fire-spots and some very nice relaxing areas with hammocks and terasses. Mostly there are children around, also from the neighbourhood, friends come and go and help us to renovate the house, cook for all of us or just to spend time together.

ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BRING THEIR OWN SLEEPING BAG!!
Área: IzabalA small backpackers hostel on the Rio Dulce, 5 miles out of Livingston on the Caribean coast. We're located in a Qek'Chi maya village in the middle of the rainforest. There are caves, waterfalls and canyons nearby. The hostel is run by an English/Dutch couple and we cater to travelers from around the world. Also, we often get visits from the sailers who live on the Rio Dulce during the hurricane season. So it's a sociable place without being a party hostel.
