Área:We are a beautiful guesthouse/retreat center that was built entirely by Ram and continues to develop all the time. The guesthouse is located in the North Western Negev, Israel. It 's an hour away from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, in the heart of "Bitronot Ruhama" Nature Reserves. We have a retreat center that has been used by groups to celebrate holidays or events, have yoga or dance classes, for field trips and learning about gardening - the imagination is the limit. We have a hydroponic garden, an outdoor garden, a grey water system, a mudhouse, two pools, and we are continuing to develop new things. We enjoy our peaceful life out here and take daily walks around the area to enjoy the wildflowers and the sunset. There are two dogs and two cats who live here, so you must like animals!
Área: Sarawak, BorneoA new homestay project set amongst 300 hectares of stunning Borneo (Sarawak) rainforest. Your hosts David and Jackie are setting up this unique wildlife conservation concept and aim to be open early 2015 but need lots of help right now. The family home is already built and sits on top of a hill with lovely views of the forest and hills in the distance - at 650 m or nearly 2000 ft in altitude the heat and cooling winds make it a perfect temperature for the tropics. Average night time temperature is 22 C. David has a multinational background and worked overseas all his life, and his wife Jackie is originally from the local village but grew up in Kuala Lumpur. You will be made to feel most welcome not just by the owners but also three dogs, two cats and a Sambar deer. Wake up to the sounds of the nearby gibbons and hornbills, cool off in the nearby rivers, this is a remote but memorable and authentic opportunity to assist in a fulfilling way. Leki-Lu is 2 hours from the town of Lawas in Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo. Lawas is easily reached by bus, boat and plane - see additional info below. We do not yet have internet but do have and sattelite phone for emergencies only.
Área: CantabriaPLEASE READ MY FULL PROFILE BEFORE APPLYING and please be aware that I can only accommodate ONE person at a time for a maximum period of TEN days. ABOUT ME: I am a Spanish teacher from Brazil, married without children. Now I’m not working, although I do voluntary work teaching Spanish, mainly to refugees and asylum seekers. I also study English at the University. I can provide resources should you want to improve your Spanish or Portuguese. However, I do not want to spend my time teaching - whereas I am perfectly happy to help you with your Spanish or Portuguese, including giving you one hour a day (not more!) of Conversation Classes about culture, arts or whatever you want. I must stress that I am not able to offer a language course. I know a lot about different Spanish regions and I will be too pleased to research information, particularly with regard to travel and where to go in Spain. I am happy to advise you regarding travel in Spain, so please do ask about this before you come - people can waste so much money and time if they are not savvy. As I have stated, for personal reasons, I can only host volunteers for maximum TEN days at a time. And as much as I like good conversation (about politics, environment or culture), I also like to be quiet, chatting with my husband or reading. Speaking about us, we’re eco-friendly (recycling everything!), polite, easy-going, generous, educated, respectful and avid travellers. We do not smoke (so our guest MUST be non smoker!) and we are omnivore (in case you are vegetarian).
