    Welcome to my profile :)

La Paz is a very diverse place (it looks like 3 countries in 1). You will find hot weather(Yungas), snow, altiplano, emerald lakes, islands, all of that in La Paz :D

I'm polite and respectful so you can feel 100% safe here. You'll also have a private room. I like to live in peace and harmony. What I expect from my volunteers: Positive energy, being kind, peaceful, quiet, and clean. If you're passive-aggressive or toxic this project might not be suitable for you :)

    My place:
I live around 2km (1.24 miles) from downtown.
    - There is public transportation 3 minutes walk from my place. I can provide you with a private room. The bed is big enough for up to 2 people.
    - Shared kitchen
    - Shared bathroom
    - Hot shower (all day)
    - Free Wifi
    - Free Lunch (Monday to Friday)
    - I've a washing machine, feel free to use it
    - I have fruits and vegetables in the kitchen and you can use them as well for free (to prepare your breakfast or dinner).

There are so many things to do and explore in La Paz:

    - Cable cars: in La Paz, we don't have subways, we have telefericos (cable cars) you can enjoy nice views. It is one of the largest cable cars in the world. If you take your time you can go around the city by cable cars in half a day (taking it easy).

    - Moon Valley, it is around 45 min drive from downtown. The hike takes around 45min.

    - Valle de las ánimas, it takes around 1:30 hours to drive from downtown. Most of the people get lost, but no worries I got your back. I'll tell you the way to go through it. For these two hikes, the short one can take 3-4 hours and the large one can take the whole day. Views from the top are great!

    - Charquini, a must-go place! (This is one of the best places to visit in La Paz). This is an emerald lake most of tourists don't know about. You can get a tourist agency for around 150 Bs - 180 Bs (around 20 USD). The starting point is Iglesia de San Francisco at 8am and it finishes at 15:00pm at San Francisco. Then you could go to have a nice meal at English Lions nearby San Francisco Church (they have games, jenga, table football and billiards).

    - Hidden hike, yes, there is a "hidden cool hike" I found, I don't think tourist companies know about this, but it was cool to have a great view from the city on the very top of the mountains. This hike takes 2-4 hours. You can take public transportation from the Stadium, this is around 45minutes from Miraflores.

    - Gruta de San Pedro de Sorata (Great place), there is a cave with water and you can go through in a boat. There are also hikes around Sorata, this place is not close to the city, but it is worth it. You can spend 2-3 days exploring this place.

    - Cordillera Real, I went there with some friends and we found a cool emerald lake on the way. It was a nice hike. This is not close from the city. This hike can take the whole day if you departure very early.

    - If you want warm weather then La Paz also have this place called Yungas, enjoy of a tropical temperature, rivers and there are nice hotels with pools.

    - The dead road, biking tour, if you love biking this is the right place for you. Adrenaline at 100%

    - Illimani (if you're a bit crazy, this is the right place for you).

    - Huayna Potosi, very popular mountain, make sure to get be prepared for this since it's challenging, but great.

    - Chollets, these are building with particular paitings or figures located at El Alto.

    - Cholitas wrestling (foreigners say it is great), but I still didn't visit this place.

    - If you like camping there is el Camino del Inca.

    - Muela del diablo, you can take a minibus from downtown, it takes around 1 hour to get there, then walk, this hike might take 4-5 hours.

    - Valle de las ánimas, nice hike, it takes around 1 hour to get to the starting point, then there are two trails, the easy one is the 2nd, take minibus 905 from downtown, since it’s far, you might need to take to minibuses to get to the starting poing, the 2nd trail is easy (for me) and takes around 4 hours to do it. The first trail is more difficult (most of people get lost on the way), so it’s a good idea to start early morning, for this just take minibus 905 from downtown (no need for a 2nd minibus).

There are many other hikes in La Paz...

For some reason workaway doesn't allow to upload videos, but I uploaded some videos on IG: will.herrera7

    - Parties, there are many places to party in La Paz, and of course there many packpackers, sometimes I also go to some of the parties or language exchange events :)

Places to party: Malegria (mostly locals), Selina (mostly foreigners), Robbers (mostly foreigners)

    - There are also meditation classes in downtown.

    - There is a gym 10-minute walk from my place, etc.

    The weather:
January, it is raining season (but last 2 years didn't rain too much). Actually, there ware warm and sunny.
February, it is raining season (but last 2 years didn't rain too much). Actually, there ware warm and sunny.
March, it is raining season (but last 2 years didn't rain too much). Actually, there ware warm and sunny.
April, the weather is cool, the rainy season is going away, and it is a good time to visit Uyuni.
May, cool weather, but take a wind jacket for the evenings and early mornings.
June, winter season, but not as cold as in Europe. Mornings and afternoons are sunny, but windy. With a wind jacket you’ll be alright. At night you might get a Down Jacket (Chamarra de Pluma de Ganzo o Pato), this is very warm.
July, winter season, but not as cold as in Europe. Mornings and afternoons are sunny, but windy.
You can get those jackets at Uyustus Market or Graneros Market, or if you’re on a budget you can visit La Feria 16 de Julio at El Alto (on Sundays).
August, winter season is going away.
    September, spring, nice month :)
    October, the weather is cool.
November, is the best month of the year, coz it's my birthday haha just kidding, it is one of the best months coz it is the warmest season of the year.
December, the rainy season starts (but last year didn't rain too much).

My projects (I've 2 start-ups, you can choose the one you like the most):

    1st. Start-up: Logistics
This app allows users to save time when they make shipments (similar to a skyscanner).

I'm looking for volunteers who have any of these skills:
    - Graphic designer
    or
    - Social media skills
    or
    - Youtuber (or some who likes to create content for my logistics start-up channel).
    or
Translate articles, blogs, and parts of our website into your native language.

    2nd. Start-up: Related to biotech.

    Optional:
If you don’t have any of the skills mentioned above, but you love cooking, then it would be interesting to taste food from your country (this is optional and I would pay for the ingredients).

Schedule: 20 hours per week (M-F) 4 hours per day.
Alternatively: if you want, you can make it from Monday to Thursday (half-time) and you can choose one of those days to make the extra 4 hours, so you can have 3 full days for traveling.

If you don't have a laptop don't worry I can provide it to you.
I'm only accepting volunteers who have insurance.

I live alone in my apartment(2nd floor).

I worked in several companies around the world: China, Canada, India, and Paraguay so I'm open to share my knowledge and experience. I'm also very open to learn from you :)

There is a gym 1km away from my place. There are also dancing classes in the neighborhood.

I usually work a lot on my start-up and don't be surprised if I don't go out so often, but my sister or other friends certainly like going hiking or exploring. There are many back-backers in the city.

Sometimes I go running early mornings.
