We live in a leafy, suburban area of West Auckland called Titirangi.
We deliberately bought a large home with its own self contained accommodation so we can have guests to stay.
We occasionally let the apartment out as a holiday home but more often than not we have people like you to stay.
We are friendly, sociable fun and a pretty stereotypical example of a kiwi family.
We enjoy getting to know new people, learning about other languages and cultures and helping you discover ours.
Our homestays join in as much as they want with our family life and social activities. We go to the beach, visit friends around New Zealand, and get involved in our local community activities.
We have Wifi, cheap calls to the Uk, a big garden, bikes, camping equipment and if you are over 25 you can probably borrow the car.

Having moved in quite recently so there is lots to be done.
Painting, gardening, small repairs, cleaning and general domestic stuff.
We have a great tree just begging to have a tree house built!
On a day to day basis though what we appreciate most is just an extra pair of hands to assist at dinner and other busy times, help in the kitchen and to keep on top of day to day household tasks.
If you are good with computers we would appreciate some help building a few simple websites.

She constantly made sure I felt at home and included her the family. All of the people in her "urban co-op" were warm and welcoming---her daughter even gave up her bedroom to me for 2 WEEKS! I'm glad I converted her into a cser; I know she'll absolutely love it! She and her children are always welcome in my home. I hope to see them all again some day.

Lucy was extremely accomodating, we were made to feel extremely welcome during our stay, we went on family outings to Piha and Motat. Lucy helped us out in every way she could, an excellent host.

We initially planned to stay for a few days, but when faced with car trouble Lucy was so understanding and not only let us stay for longer at short notice, but also helped us out more than we could have ever expected. She was incredibly welcoming and we were instantly made to feel at home. The work was enjoyable and varied, from gardening to basic DIY. We look forward to staying with Lucy again before we leave New Zealand.
