We have 3 hectares and 450 trees who all need love! We are getting ready to start the Olive picking and are needing help with strimming and clearing the ground. One or two people would be great. We have a dear little self contains caravan for you to stay in, with portapotti and solar shower. There is also space in the letting rooms if there are people who can't share We will supply dinner and lunches during the working week. We would like about five hours a day five days a week. We can teach you about olives; the picking, pruning and care, preservation and preparation for the table. Both of us are now farmers and are excellent cooks and we can share these and gardening, composting, viticulutre and preserving skills with you. We look forward to hearing from you and maybe meeting you.

Region: BavariaWe love our goats, cats, rabbits and chickens. In the future we are planning on welcoming more heritage animals, such as sheep, horses, and whatever other animal can help us be more self-sustainable. We started gardening with heirloom plants and found them delicious. Currently we are working on renovating the house in an environmentally friendly manner. For example, we incorporated a wall heater and cob plaster into the guest rooms. We would like to design a living room with floor heating that works with a solar water heater and a wood stove. We furthermore have many creative beautifying projects going on that appeal to the children we host. They can have fun here and at the same time learn about farming and alternative life styles. We live in a large copper-beech forest in Germany, that might become a National Park in the future. Bamberg is half an hour away, Würzburg and Nürnberg about an hour. Our town's people are awesome- the reason we moved here. My husband is from Seattle, I'm from Berlin. We would love to get to know you and learn from and with you!
Region: Castillejar, Altiplano of Granada in AndaluciaHello; Do you want to enjoy our place, learn and add your skills to the work that needs to be done here?We are a Dutch couple that moved to the almost overwhelming beautiful Altiplano of Granada in Spain recently. We have two complexes of cave houses, two and a half hectare of land with 300 olive trees, some almond and fruit trees and beautiful sights on the mountains around. We came from an ecological farm in Holland and want to create an ecological surrounding here in Spain with traces of permaculture and biological dynamics and where we can lodge guests. Maria is a trainer and coach and Ide is an all round craftsman. We are working on our project of seven caves tunnels: we have our house in three of them. The other four need to be built in. This includes plumbing, electricity, sewerage, painting, carpeting and so on. For the specific cave house work we ask some cavehouse craftsman out of the neigbourhood. Cave houses are maybe the most natural and ecological ways of living that you can imagine. We also have our two kittens, olive trees , a vegetable garden and a flower garden that need to be tended too. We live in a beautiful place in the mountains with a river nearby with lot's of big trees and shade and water to swim in. In the surroundings are the little village Castillejar and some more bigger towns called Huescar and Baza. Almost every day there is a market in one of the different towns and villages. There is a big lake for canoeing and swimming, mountain bike tracks, walking tracks. The sea is one and a half hour driving as is Granada: the beautiful old town with her Alhambra and lot's of cultural events. We can lodge you in big army tents 5x5 and 3 meters high under the olive trees . They have mosquito nets, beds, furniture and can be opened all around with is very nice in the warm summer months so you can sleep protected and under the stars. We need help with all our activities: assisting the craftwork, building, cooking, gardening and so on. We think about 5 hours work against meals and lodging. We prefer a couple or two friends to come. The work can be physically demanding sometimes. Besides working we like to celebrate free time and from time to time we will invite you for seeing special places around. We also like to eat good food. a glass of wine and share that with you
