Beschreibung
We are a family of 4, consisting of an English artist, a Spanish builder, and 2 SpanEnglish teenage children....plus a horse, 2 dogs and a cat. We have a group of holiday houses, of differing shapes and sizes that are spread around a green, lush garden in a wonderful tourist area and just minutes from stunningly beautiful beaches. Kite-surfing and surfing are popular sports on some of them.
There is always the ongoing maintenance to carry out on the houses and garden with which we´re grateful for any help with.
Accomodation is usually in your own individual apartment with kitchen and bathroom but might possibly be the sharing of a larger house with other work-awayers....depending on the rental situation.
We live in a rural setting with the coast on one side and an Umbrella pine forest protected park on the other. We are equidistant from 3 interesting and very different towns, Vejer, Conil and Barbate. the first being a pcturesque historic hill village, and the others are fishing villages.
This is a very interesting area with many activities happening. eg. yoga, meditation, dance, walking all sorts of courses and if you have a particular talent you´d like to share perhaps we could organize something.
We are 10 mins walk from the beaches that are famous for their spectacular sunsets.

Come and enjoy the sunshine and warmth of Costa de la Luz, Andalucia, Southern Spain.
Cadiz is 1/2hr away and Seville a couple of hours. We are very close to Africa so you can pop over to Tangiers on a day trip.
If you are nature lovers we get many migratory birds passing as well as our own residents eg nightjars, vultures, hoopoes, egrets, storks and owls. Bee-eaters trilling overhead and nightingales melodic strains from the wild-olive trees are a joy to behold in their respective seasons.
Other wildlife treats are cameleons, stick insects, praying mantis and mongoose to name a few.

Absolutely fabulous from the first minute to the last and all those minutes inbetween. He is happy, honest, chatty, funny, generous, interested, diligent, talented, a good cook, undemanding, totally fits in, etc, etc and has left two beautiful vegetable gardens so we will remember him every day. He came twice quickly and we all want him back asap. more
I landed in the right place at the right time,(The eve of baby Emma's arrival) for my fist workaway.
Hilda and Louis have been hosting for several years, and made me feel right at home from the first night. Louis introduced me to good wholesome delicious Spanish food.

Ina came with her boy friend, Andy, and they made a marvellous team. They were only here for a week before she had to move on to her next placement, but they went around the garden like a benevolent tornado, leaving no stone unturned and making a perfect job of everything...they saw what needed doing and got on with it with no fuss, doubts, more
I had a great time working with Hilda. She is very easy going and she treated me like a good friend from the first day. Luis is a typical spanish man with a very special sense of humor, he is generous and loves to teach his culture.
Angelika is great to have around. She fit in immediately, was always willing to help,was happy and enthusiastic, and was able to take the initiative. Thanks for offering your energy and time Angelika and your cooking is great too!
Martin fit in immediately, and I have thoroughly enjoyed his stay. He is now moving on and we shall all miss him.
He has been an invaluable help to us, notably in the kitchen, garden and with computer issues.
He is responsable, kind, friendly, intelligent, interesting, interested, adaptable, energetic etc, etc....

India and her family are great hosts! I spend about 5 weeks there and later also my father for 2 weeks. We enjoyed the time by Hilda very much! You always have fun, good food, lots of free time, great nature, a beautiful long sandy beach, many animal species,.... and so on. (and also a good english and spanish teacher;))

Sophie was wonderful. It was a pleasure to share our house with her.
She is reliable, honest, hard-working, and had a good attitude to everything she took on. She made wonderful cakes (her Granny´s recipes). She brought her Dad over and that was a wonderful experience too.
I fully recommend her with no reserve!
