Hi There, Simon & I run a Surf School and surf tours business as well as an internet business. We live on a beautiful property in Ngunguru, that we have the pleasure of sharing with great friends/family of ours, a Great Dane, Jack Russell & a cat. The property has it's own private beach, and spectacular views out on to the beautiful Tutukaka Coast. The Tutukaka Coast has many lovely beaches, wildlife, great diving with the Poor Knights and much more. I have my own bungalows on a small organic farm in rural Chiang Mai and am happy to share the experience of organic farming and sustainable living with anybody who is interested in volunteering to help! I'm still new to organic farming and would appreciate any help and experience that people can provide. Volunteers with experience in organic farming are preferred as then we can share our knowledge and learn together! I also assign a volunteers to help local people's farms follow the seasons. I also run a non-profit volunteer working programme providing opportunities for teaching English in local hill tribes schools and offering medical help to ethnic minority villagers. I was born in Mae Jeam district and spent almost eight years in the temple as a novice monk before going on to study for a BA in Tourism Industry Management. I specialized in ethnic minority knowledge and elephants at uni and have been a tour leader for the last six years and am still loving it. Region: Toowoomba on the Great Dividing Range, Queensland

At the moment we have a space from February 27. We live about 30 minutes north of Toowoomba, two hours west of Brisbane on 80 acres. It's a new place and there is lots of work to do, so we just need help in the house to free us up to get out and do the landscaping, fencing etc (which you can help us with if you prefer to be outdoors). Mum works and is also doing a PhD and Dad is away with work most of the time, so it's hard getting through the list of things we want to do! We have some horses, although we only have one that can be ridden at the moment, so our Workawayer will be able to ride sometimes if they are experienced at riding (some competition experience is what we would be looking for in jumping, dressage, western or reining). If you are hoping to ride, you must be a competent rider with fairly recent riding experience as you will have to ride by yourself most of the time. Having siad all that, it is perfectly fine if you have no horse experience at all :-)) A driver's licence and safe and competent driving skills are absolutely necessary as we are way out of town. We have access to beautiful riding and bushwalking country as our house is surrounded by bush with lots of wild animals and birds. At the moment we have a space from February 27. Much of the work we will give you will be house or garden related while I work or study and then on weekends we will tackle bigger jobs or take horses to competitions. There is plenty of time to go bushwalking with the dogs or ride and explore the area.

We are 2 life long friends of 35 years old, who started this project to create a self sustainable oasis along side the river: "Riberna de Odeceixe". We are developing a wellness eco retreat centre that we'll be used for many things but it's all about nature and greenness and self sustainability. We're situated 5 km's from the beach and of course we love surfing just as much as we love creating together in nature. We just started our third season of starting from nothing and we have now apart from the basic facilities many more things done but lots to be done and so we are welcoming a new crew for this year from all over the world to carry on what we started. The gardening, landscaping & natural building is what we're in need of most. So especially skill full people are super welcome
