Erin and Peter are a lovely pair and great company. They picked up fast what needed to be done and are very versatile. They did lots: cutting out tent caterpillars, feeding the sheep, entertaining the grandkids, building a ramp for the neighbour,gardening, baking biscuits, cutting up branches, ripping out dead bushes and more. A great addition to the family.

François and Coline couldn't have been more friendly, warm and welcoming. They have a big renovation on their hands and although I could only offer them three days they managed to fit me into their plans. I came by campervan so I had my own accommodation, but I took showers and meals at François and Coline's apartment a short drive from the renovation (they drove me there and back). I helped them to demolish an old concrete floor and to prepare timber for use as joists. They offered me other work, such as pruning fruit trees, if I preferred. Essentially François and Coline are flexible and easygoing. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend them as hosts. In fact, I'm looking forward to returning soon to see how their renovation is coming along.

Fanny and Cassandra came here at the beginning of January 2024 and left at the end of February. They are lovely couple who had a great time with everyone here. Enthusiastically helped with everything and made the best of everything, which made our team very happy - both two-legged and four-legged. They are easy going and fun to be around. They went on several day trips with the dogs, sometimes in quite challenging conditions, but I'm sure they loved the experience. They mention in their profile that they enjoy cooking - and do it very well - so have to thank all the lovely bakeries. We would be delighted to see them again at our doorstep :)

Eloise and Leo came here in February and left in April, which made our team very happy - both two-legged and four-legged. They are a lovely couple, easy going and fun to be around. It was then full of activities with sled dog tours and gave us the opportunity to take them on day trips with the dogs. We're sure they loved the experience. They mentioned in their profile that they enjoy cooking - and do it very well - so have to thank for all the nice meals. It would be nice to meet Eloise and Leo again on our doorstep.

Jack was a wonderful person to have around, worked steadily and enthusiastically and communicated well and was up for building new skills every step of the way. Jack brought heart and passion and deep care to our little world and we'd welcome them back any time.

I spent 2 months at Cara & Cory’s beautiful house close to Puerto Jimenez in the OSA Peninsula. I had my own private room and the downstairs bathroom all to myself and spent my free afternoons reading in the open living room or at Playa Preciosa, the most stunning beach you will ever see! I taught their 14 year old girl Kaya for about 4 hours a day and helped around the house whenever I wasn’t teaching. Tasks varied from walking the dogs, doing the dishes, watering the garden to washing the cars. The work was never too hard and Cara said she wouldn’t task her Workawayers with chores she wouldn’t be comfortable doing herself. My main purpose was to teach Kaya how to play the guitar, sing and perform songs. Subjects I taught included Geography, Math, Social Studies, First Aid, History, Spanish & English. Kaya is a very intelligent girl with a big passion for horses. During my stay the family purchased her first horse “Sunny” and I was able to go horseback riding too, when taking Kaya to the farm. Kaya is a very good baker, a great artist and surfer. It was a pleasure meeting her and I enjoyed our pop cultural conversations very much :) This was my first Workaway experience and I couldn’t have wished for a better one. The food they provided me with was incredible - freshly caught tuna from Cory’s fishing business, self made sushi, poke bowls, chicken and fresh salads. Cara is an inspiring business woman, an amazing mother and she became a friend I would talk to about anything. And talking about wildlife! I saw scarlet macaws, howler monkeys, sloths, stingrays, humming birds, toucans, water buffalos and spent my days cuddling their dogs Rollo and Obie. I will definitely be back to visit - thank you for everything!

We had an incredible time at Jennifer and Stefano's agriturismo! They welcomed us warmly and made us feel like part of the family. The location of the agriturismo is stunning, with amazing views of the Umbrian countryside and nearby cute hilltop towns. The property is surrounded by the forest. We enjoyed our free time exploring the walking trails around the agriturismo, trying (and barely succeeding) to bike around the surrounding hills, going on a few day trips, and we even got to use their amazing cave sauna in the forest - a truly unique experience! The work was really enjoyable, from taking care of the chickens and geese in the morning to renovating some furniture and helping Stefano with the olive grove. We loved our outdoor tasks and enjoyed the beautiful weather. It was nice to have lunch together and chat everyday. We also had the pleasure to be part of many activities organised by Stefano and Jennifer, such as barbecues and trips to the nearby town. A real highlight was the amazing food Stefano made us - he is an incredible cook – his pizza, bread, risotto, cheesecake (!!) and more were amazing! The apartment we lived in was cozy and welcoming, well furnished and filled out with the local goods provided by Jennifer and Stefano! All in all a great experience. Beautiful location, delicious food, and welcoming people. Grazie mille Jennifer e Stefano, abbiamo trascorso delle settimane fantastiche! Alessandro & Emma

These are two of the kindest and sweetest workawayers. Very responsible and devoted to finishing what they started. Our dogs (and us) adopted Flavio and Akane almost right away. Ps it was lovely to hear the piano being played around the house. They can come back whenever they want

Matheus and Nicole have been staying with us for 2 weeks! They are very handy and easygoing guys. We had a good time together. They help us a lot cutting the grass and weeding, also cleaning and feeding the animals. They are very trustworthy and they keep everything cleaned all the time. We really suggest them. My partner and I stayed with Anil at his lovey guesthouse for just under 1 week. He was extremely welcoming and hospitable from the beginning and always made sure we were comfortable. I helped out with photography and editing content and my partner helped with marketing / admin tasks. He was very relaxed with our working hours, Anil and his family were pleased for us to come to stay and experience life in Bardia. Anil organised us a brilliant guide to take us through the jungle. We saw 3 tigers, many birds and wildlife; we were very happy to have shared this experience in Bardia. The food provided was tasty and we were always full after meals. We stayed in a comfortable room. The property is lovely and we spent our free time swimming in the river that runs through the property and exploring the nearby villages with bikes Anil let us borrow! If you are looking to experience wildlife, life in Bardia and make some new friends, I would recommend reaching out to Anil!

I stayed at the school for a bit more than five weeks in February and March 2024 and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had so far. I would have loved to stay longer, but unfortunately I already had other plans but I’ll definitely return sometime in the future. I’m so grateful to Sanjay, Shreejana and the whole school team for welcoming me with such kindness. I felt at home from the very start. The school is very nice with a diverse offer of classes, located in a calm yet vibrant part of Kathmandu. The kids are absolutely lovely, I enjoyed spending time with them and seeing them grow. I miss all of them so much. I taught a variety of classes, such as English, math or social sciences as well as classes about my home country and culture. I didn't have much previous teaching experience but I got a hang of it quite quickly and I appreciate the trust the school put in me and my abilities. I also painted a mural on the school wall and helped with the preparations for the annual parents day performances. There I performed a dance with the other volunteers as well, which was such a fun experience and for sure a memory I will never forget. While living at the school I always got plenty of delicious food and a private room. Moreover, everyone was very caring and looking out for us volunteers. One time, me and the other volunteers all got sick at once because we had food poisoning from a restaurant we went to and Sanjay got us some medication and didn't expect any work from us until we felt better. Sanjay and the rest of the staff also took us to special festivals and traditional restaurants to show us their culture and traditions, which made this experience even more amazing. All in all, I can't recommend this Workaway experience enough. Kathmandu is such an interesting vibrant diverse and exciting city and working at the school taught me so much. I have had the most incredible time staying with John and Asli, they are both really amazing people with amazing stories to share. I have learned so much in my time here and feel really lucky to have had the chance to stay with them and help with their work. The accommodation is out of this world, stunning views, sunrise and sunsets. The food is always delicious l, I'm pleased to have some Turkish recipes to take home with me. I can't thank you enough for making my experience with you guys such a good one, I feel really lucky to have stayed with you and hope to see you again one day!

Wow, wow, wow where do I even begin... I stayed with Giulia and Luigi for a month in early spring and had such a wonderful experience. I learned about Italian culture; learned so much about agriculture and local history; developed a more meaningful connection to food; and made new friends from around the world. I am so grateful for my time on the farm and hope to return someday! I had pretty much no expectations beforehand, so I'll pass along some useful information: - As a solo female traveler, I always felt safe. Giulia and Luigi are quite approachable and communicate openly. - They do hard work. This is a real farm and tasks can be somewhat physically demanding but nothing unreasonable (plus you learn a lot) - You will eat SO SO SO good. Giulia is an amazing and resourceful cook who finds time to make homemade donuts, fresh bread, cinnamon rolls, fresh pasta, etc. daily (this place may not be suitable for gluten free folks). Truly I was spoiled. - Giulia and Luigi are cool, caring, kind, and awesome people who love to laugh and teach. - It is so beautiful there!!!! The surrounding area has charming towns, rich history, and beautiful scenery. Luigi has lots of good recommendations for trips. - Have work clothes + shoes you don't mind getting dirty (you will get so dirty)

I helped William and Shakti for 8 days and it was an amazing experience. They are very friendly and considerate, and I really enjoyed their company. My daily tasks included working in their garden and tidying up as they prepare to move homes. Their hospitality was exceptional and I feel lucky to have this as my first workaway and highly recommend.

Charlie is a wonderful person, always in a good mood and very attentive and helpful. He has an overview, thinks ahead and sees when someone is struggling with something, sleeps on it and comes up with a creative solution. He also fits very easily into all kinds of teamwork, he sees what needs to be done. His true stories are numerous and very entertaining. Incredible Mr. Charles James Fox, it was a great pleasure to welcome you to our home. With or without Lesley, you are always welcome to come back, the porridge is ready 😊

Hola a todos. Me alegro mucho por esta increíble estancia. Con mucho cariño acuerdo de esta linda familia de los propietarios de este hotel Zaida Guillermo, Anna, Paqui y del equipo que trabajan aquí Héloïse, Eduardo y Rocío. la verdad que todas estas personas son muy amable, acogedor y tiene un gran corazón. La comida de Zaida y Paqui es súper rica y preparada con mucha amor. Con todos es muy lindo conversar y todas estas personas son buen educadas y muy interesantes. Sin ningún duda es uno de los mejores workawey que existe y por el ambiente hermoso donde vives y por las personas que trabajan aquí. Aquí siempre hay un fácil trabajo de limpieza, como, por ejemplo hacer camas o aspirar el suelo o quitar polvo. Y te van a pagar tus horas. En el tiempo libre se puede dar un paseo en hermoso Cádiz y ir en las playas cuales hay mucho alrededor. Sobre todo me gustó la playa salvage que se ubica el el final de Cádiz (la última estación del autobús 1 me parece).
