Jack was great to have to stay. He was very helpful and tidy, He was also happy to try tasks that were new. He was very thorough, thoughtful and persistent to do a good job. He also went beyond - sending us an identification poster of our chickens to help us and others to learn their names!

Mathilde was great to have working with us. She was cheerful and contributed persistently and accurately to her tasks. She was flexible and happy to learn new tasks.

We struck gold with Beth & Matt. They looked after our small farm, including cattle & our dog Max, for 2 weeks while we were on holiday. They were happy & friendly. Our dog adored them and they managed all the stock work with ease. They cooked us a wonderful meal when we got home & cleaned our house top to bottom. We are super grateful they allowed us to have a great holiday, confident that our place was in good hands. Thank you to you both. We totally recommend Beth & Matt to any future owners/hosts.

Andrea is a wonderful young woman! She is graceful and calm and mature beyond her years. She is responsible, smart and perfectly capable to handle anything if given the opportunity to learn and grow. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to voulenteer here last minut. And for that I'm greatfull because it was such a nice experience and one of the highlights of my travels. So I highly recommend! The daily tasks was easy and fun and I quickly felt a part of the family here. Food was amazing and Sharom made sure to show us the best parts of the city! He took us hiking and didn't hesitate to drive us if we needed anything! Sharom is a very kind man with the biggest heart and he is very respectful and funny! I wish I could have stayed longer! But thank you for the opportunity.

Emilia was a last minute helper, who came to give us a hand for a couple days, but she did a wonderful job. Thank you Emilia for all your help. We wish you the best of luck during your worldwide journeys and adventures. Smooth sailing.

Las dos semanas que pasaron con nosotros fueron de verdad muy lindas, La pasamos muy bien juntas, cocinado siempre muy rico y compartiendo nuevas recetas ❤️ trabajando en la huerta, pintando paredes (las chicas estuvieron muy motivadas trabajando a full ¡muchas gracias por eso!!) paseando también, y fue hermoso cerrar nuestro tiempo juntos con el día de baile! !! Marilia es una persona muy fácil para compartir enseñar y aprender ❤️ Espero que te vaya muy bien en tu viaje y que vuelvas pronto 😘

They stay 3 weeks here. We many times play games after dinner. They work very well we built a small garage. They like to Onsen and chess.

Henry is a gem and helped us out with the mist important precious cargo.

We were very fortunate to have Claudia & Alex join our team from Jan – May 2024. Unlike general WorkAway stays they lived in shared accommodation with another WorkAway couple and cooked for themselves. Claudia’s duties consisted mainly of housekeeping - day to day up keep of three accommodations to a high standard which also entailed interacting with guests, stock-takes and the need to drive a rough gravel road to achieve this. Claudia is mature & professional, obliging and flexible with a great sense of humour (Tineke – Operations manager). Alex’s duties included preparing and presenting a variety of proteins, salads, sweets and desserts for our guests each day - working alongside others in our commercial kitchen. He also managed the produce gardens, grounds maintenance, deliveries and on accasion, IT work. Alex has good general knowledge and is well organised. He gets on with everyone, works well in a team as well as by himself (Rose – Kitchen manager). Happily Claudia and Alex go the extra mile, using their own initive while working under time pressure. They’re respectful, honest and kind with a lovely calm nature. I could go on and on... if you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to host these two, definitely go for it! We look forward to welcoming them back for our entire season this time Sept – May. I've spent a beautiful week with Gillian, Stephen and Zoe (their happy and passionate dog!) who welcomed me with open arms on my very first day. I helped out mostly with household chores and cooking. Gillian was very clear in communicating and discussing plans for the day, and even took me out to play bowls and a gathering with her Garden group which enriched my overall experience. Stephen took me around the town in his truck and we visited the beautiful beaches nearby too. There's always good chats, even whilst working on tasks, during mealtimes and time spent sitting outside in the sun. I enjoyed working in their garden, raking leaves and plucking oranges and other produce straight from their garden. I am also very thankful for their generosity to make sure the car is working well for my upcoming travels, and packing fruits and food for me to take away before I left. Thank you, Gillian, Stephen and Zoe for the wonderful stay!

We can't thank Emelia enough for her help and time spent in our farm! Our doors are always open for you. One of a kind.

YuZhen and her family are extremely kind, energetic and friendly. I stayed with them for two weeks in TaiChung. During this time YuZhen provided me with lots of information regarding museums or hiking and nature spots to visit. They would bring back snacks nearly daily so it was really nice to try out different foods in Taiwan that I wouldn't have known of otherwise. YuZhen is an amazing cook and dinner was always great. My tasks included doing some daily household chores and also making a presentation about my home country to present to the community and also students at YuZhen's school. There was a lot of free time to explore TaiChung and the areas around it. Randy and Connie are very bright kids who are very fun to play and chat with. It was also very fun to join the family in their daily activities such as yoga or other cultural activities. It was a great stay with the family and hope to keep in touch during the rest of my stay in Taiwan.

Brian is a lovely young man. He's clean & tidy a great worker and interacts happily with others. I believe strongly animals can tell the true nature of people and my animals loved Brian infact I was surprised my cat hadn't hidden herself in his luggage when he left! Brian was responsible with one other to completely revamp & tile the kitchen in a caravan to tradesman quality. They measured, cut very complicated half circles around a tap, applied adhesive and laid ceramic tiles before finishing with grouting. I really was thrilled to watch the kitchen evolve. Thank you Brian. Brian was very easy to have living in the house and I enjoyed the meals he cooked and shared. Never a bad word spoken. If you get to host Brian you will quickly get the measure of this nice kind man but don't be surprised if your cat defects lol My cat Fluffy will miss him greatly but I'll do my best to make up. He is genuine and gentle but he persists to improve his score on difficult games lol Thanks for your help Brian, welcome back some time in the future. GG

Hilde and Nick are amazing hosts! so kind and hospitable, with lovely kids and a cat who made us laugh. They gave us great autonomy when contributing to their home and gave us really clear guidance on what they wanted to be done. Leithfeild is a quiet and calm spot with nice walks nearby and close to Christchurch. The flat is really great and is a completely stand alone unit with a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and very comfortable bed! We highly recommend this workaway to anyone! Thank you so much for letting us stay!

Workaway at Kelly's house was amazing. So is a stay at Little Corn Island. Kelly is a beautiful and wonderful person. At her house, we helped with garden work, sanding and painting the patio, cleaning and things like that. Kelly does yoga classes at her home, so I created some videos and photos for her Instagram. The work was not demanding and every day we could agree on when and how we would work. We felt that nothing was too much trouble for Kelly and working hours were always flexible. We often felt like we were on vacation with a friend and helping her with things around the house. Kelly is also a great companion and we enjoyed nice evenings with her, cooking and baking together and parties of course. Kelly often cooked meals for all of us or provided cooking ingredients. We met her friends and often there are people in the house who come to yoga. We could also go to yoga. It's a lively environment, but if you wanted, you had plenty of privacy. We had a very comfortable bedroom, Kelly's equipped kitchen and a lovely garden. We really enjoyed our two weeks in her house and recommend it to all other travelers. Little Corn Island is simply a paradise in the middle of the Caribbean without cars and motorbikes with great people. Kelly, Oso the dog and Sophie the cat will forever remain in our hearts.

Constant is a wonderful young man. He volunteered at our camp for 2 weeks. He is a hard worker, polite, intelligent, and very interesting to chat with. He also spent quality time with our son as they both shared a passion for nature photography. Constant has good values and can be trusted. He is embarking on some adventures in the US and Canada and I hope the WorkAway community will welcome him.

Paulien is amazing! She is gifted technically with boundless energy and total dedication to finish any job to the highest level. while here she undertook the mammoth job of designing, measuring, cutting and laying ceramic tiles in the kitchen area of an old caravan even cutting tricky half circles around the tap. The job was completed to perfection! Paulien loves a challenge, she uses power tools with ease and cleans them and puts them away after herself without being prompted to do so. She got on great with everyone and always helped out cheerfully. Highly intelligent and very easy to live with. So much empathy with people and animals. If you get a chance to host Paulien don't delay it. Always be a bed here should she return to NZ. One very special lady, GG

Staying here was a life changing experience! A place where humans, horses, cats, dogs and all the other animals live completely in harmony together. All the love and care can be felt deeply such as a deep sense of freedom and respect for all the living things. We take with us very beautiful memories made of sunrises, cats and dogs playing around us, community dinners, interesting talks and jam sessions. What Emma and Edo created is incredible: the decision to live off grid, to rely only on sustainable energy, the fact that every gesture has the aim to do good and not to harm the other people, animals and the planet.. it's a special place! If someone really wants to understand what living in a sustainable way means, this is the place where it's possible to do so. It can be hard at the beginning but, we promise, it will be worth it! We stayed 1 month and some week more, we already had scheduled commitments otherwise we'd have stayed much more! During our time there I (Antonella) worked in the office as fundraiser and social media team creating collaborations and contents for the instagram page. Creating contents has been fun, especially on natural remedies and community moments. I appreciated the freedom to be creative and work together to realize ideas. And with the animals coming back and forth there were always smiles on our faces. Nadir worked in the building team, a very interesting experience and a perfect chance to learn how to build sustainable buildings. He worked on the construction of one of the houses and the toilet. The tasks were clear and the team was great to work with. We both made beautiful connections and friends who will take in our hearts as the animals and our special Ghimli Cat 🤍🐈 who was always with us for all the time we've lived there! Thank you for have welcomed us into the finca family, we hope to come back soon🤍

Unfortunately Yeraz was only with us for two weeks, but she was the perfect workawayer during her stay. I do not hesitate to tell anyone that she will be a huge help if you have her! She had no problem completing tasks with light instruction, or learning new things. But WorkAway is more than that. The spirit of workaway is cultural exchange, and making lasting friendships. Together we celebrated Songkran(Thai New Year), cooked Thai, Turkish, Russian, and other foods from our homelands, and made lasting friendships. Can’t wait until we see you again!
