Hi, I’m Lisa! I’m here for farmstays, sustainable projects, hostelwork and cultural exchange. Looking forward to new experiences!

I am living in Bilbao at the moment, as I am doing part of my masters here. I will stay in Spain troughout June and am looking for a workaway 1-2 weeks in the beginning of June.

I am originally from Gothenburg but have been living a bit all over the past few years. I travel when I can but the the most recent years I have spent in Gothenburg doing my bachelor’s in Global studies. I finished my degree in august 2022 and before starting my master's I spent six months travelling Spain and Portugal, this is when I first tried workaway. I had really good experiences and would love to do it again.

Outside of univeristy I have spent a lot of time doing volunteer work. I have a great interest in human rights and sustainability. I also Iove to cook and to experience culture through food. I have never worked professionally in a kitchen (except for a short gig as a kitchen assistant), but I am always keen to learn new things in the kithchen and I would love to help out with these kinds of tasks.

I am curious about the connection between food and sustainability and something I would love to learn more about through workaway is sustainable farming! 🌾

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Before university I worked many years in in hospitality, in different places and countries. Therefore, I am used to working together with others, and am no stranger to tasks such as cleaning, doing dishes, preparing meals etc. My work in hospitality has made me confident and comfortable with meeting new people, and it has improved my ability to adapt to new environments and different ways of working.

My degree in Global studies has given me theoretical knowledge of sustainable development, social justice and globalization and my experiences with non-profit work has given me the opportunity to work on different projects (- campaigns, workshops, lectures, movie screenings, panel discussions etc) and to explore how to work actively with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable development. Volunteering has also strengthened my ability to work well in a group.

I am structured and positive and value good communication. I am very open to trying new things and exited to learn new skills!
