Description

Hi! I’m Esteban, a visual artist, illustrator, draftsman and musician from Colombia, passionate about art, history, cinema, music and literature. My love for traveling has made me discover lovely places and people that have left a mark on me; now, a new opportunity has brought me to Italy, where I hope to explore Italian culture, learn its beautiful language, and help however I can with my knowledge and hard work. I’m a studious and adventurous person, fascinated by the history and ways of life of each country I visit. I’m kind, organized and good at solving problems by being recursive and creative. Animal lover, attentive and, my experience as an art teacher for children made me a carrying person, as well as friendly, helpful and a quick learner. I’m looking forward to meet you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a graphic, plastic and audiovisual artist who graduated as a master in Visual Arts from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Colombia, in Bogotá D.C.; drawing specialist with a particular interest in animation, graphic illustration and the construction of sculptures in wood, metal and recyclable materials. I’m skilled with my hands, meticulous and detail-oriented, with skills related to drawing, painting, sculpture and carpentry work that includes designing, measuring, cutting, sanding, carving and repairing, with experience in the construction of wooden houses for low-income families in neighborhoods of Bogotá. I am also a musician, I have played piano since I was 8 years old and I have performed in concert halls, in groups and as a soloist. I’m athletic and sporty, used to traveling long distances, on foot and by bicycle (bicycling being one of my favorite hobbies), although I also have a car driving license and the International Driving Permit. I am a film buff and a recurring reader with an interest in writing; I worked in a bookstore for several years, in charge of tasks such as organization, cataloging, book sales, and customer service. In addition, I am a drawing teacher for children and young people of all ages so I am good with teaching and children. I speak Spanish as a native language, English level B1-B2, basic level of German and French and I am currently learning Italian.

I like sports and board games or any other type, as well as karaoke; I am a bicycle lover, bicycling being one of my favorite hobbies, and I love exploring every corner of the cities and towns to appreciate the local architecture. I’m a film and history buff, passionate about knowing the historical context of the places I visit and learning the customs of each culture. I like to cook, although I don't consider myself a chef, but I am enthusiastic about learning new recipes.
