Description
We are a German family, living in NZ since 18 years, with 3 children, who have left home and are at university or working. We have a nice and warm house in Lower Hutt, and are looking for an experienced dog sitter while we are in Europe from early July until August 18th. We have 2 dogs, one 11 year old border collie cross, and a 4 year old German shepherd husky. Both dogs are very nice, well trained, but need a knowledgeable hand to take them on daily walks. We ideally are looking for 2 people travelling together. Dog experience is a must:) We have had many work awayers over the last 2 years, helping us with building, renovating and dog sitting.

Omer stayed with us in Kerikeri for almost 2 weeks. He is very nice to have around, helpful and polite. Omer does all the jobs he is given with diligence and is willing to learn new skills. We thoroughly recommend Omer to other workaway hosts, and wish him well for his upcoming endeavours.

We hosted Peter for 2 weeks in Kerikeri, and from day 1, it felt like we had known him forever. Peter engaged with everything that was on offer and needed doing. No task was to big our small for him. Do yourself a favour and stay with them. Granted , all other Workaways will be ruined because of what they provided. This family is down right spectacular and the world needs more of them. my entire two weeks stay with them felt like a weekend. I was saddened to leave. We stayed with Stefan and Konny for a week and had a very nice time. The work was very interesting and fair. There was the best food and we had a lot of good conversations (ask about the pizza! ;)). From there you can go skydiving within walking distance and with the e-bikes you can quickly explore all the waterfalls and the town.

Nace stayed with us for 4 weeks and helped with the building of our house up North. He had good skills and expanded on them during his stay. Nace also helped me in my food truck and remained calm under stress. He fitted in easily with the other workawayers and we wish him well on his future travels.

Konny and Stefan were fantastic hosts. Very generous, kind, and knowledgable. We had great conversations, great food, and great experiences around Northland.
