☀️Our wonderful land in center Italy is open to host travelling solos +30 yo and "camperlife" families w kids 6/9 yo looking for an immersive experience into nature and self-sustainable life, even better if with the will to settle for some time.🌼

    WE

We are Sergio, Francesca and our daughter (7 yo) plus all the friends that choose to spend some time here.

We live in a four hectares land 5 km from a little town in Lazio, between Tuscany and Rome.
A woodland with neolithic sacred spots, wild animals, a river at some minutes of sloping hike, a lot of biodiversity.

We have created our home with what we had: good friends, soil, straw, stones and some recycle. The house is off-the-grid, with solar electricity, rainwater collecting systems, compost toilet, hydric system, wood stove, phytodepuration...

Our project is live consciously, fully and joyfully every moment.
We are open minded, love to learn and connect with ourself, others, nature. We take ecologic care in every aspect of our life.

    Sergio
makes organic veggies, extravergine olive oil, beer, wine, bread, fermented food, greenwood carving. To stop him working is difficult but not impossible, he also loves table tennis, basket, poetry, cinema, hiking in the woods discovering ancient caves, eating well!
    Francesca
does basketry, bushcrafts, vegan cooking and creates events and new projects. She loves dancing, stearing at the nature, travelling and many more!
    Our daughter
she is a wonderful soul, loves to cook and play with friends, is very kind, sociable, energetic but respectful. She is able to play without knowing other languages than italian. She knows a bit of english and she is improving every day.

    WHO WE CAN HOST

This is a place for people with skills, comfortable with the wild outdoors, independent, energetic, able to express and communicate, on a path of personal growth, playful and with some sense of humor!

Our place is wide open for children and other wild animals, not pets sorry.

    THE EXCHANGE

We will welcome you as supporter members of the project with accomodation and organic plant based food.

To support our project you are offering your skills for 5 hours of help a day, 5 days a week. If you have different proposals we are open to talk about it in a call.

*Arrangement for families: it can be, for example that one parent is offering her/his skills for 5 hours of help a day, 5 days a week (the Workaway typical exchange). In that case we cook a meal per day for all and the rest of the food shopping and cooking is up to the family.

*Arrangement for solo travellers: we provide full food stock or cooked meals everyday.

Food stock: organic veggies and spontaneous edibles from our garden, beans, grains, seeds, spices, extravirgin olive oil, bread or flour, oat flakes/muesli. What you may need extra you can buy, we only ask to choose while here plant based no waste and organic as possible.

The community kitchen "BarBosco" is outdoor (with a small shelter we have planned to enlarge), next to the caravan.

We share for sure one meal per day and we decide day by day if we can also gather for the other meal and who is cooking in the days off.

We love to share the cooking or dishwashing chores (when you cook it's nice other clean and vs) and those are not counted as working hours but as part of the community life.

    A WORK-IN-PROGRESS HUB/ECOVILLAGE

We are currently working on the idea of becoming a hub for travellers that can spend here some months every year or even settle in this area buying a land.
Ideally crafty people, to create an ecosystem of craft works-markets and classes with collegue-friends :)

Our attitude with children is based on: love; respect; nature as the teacher and adults as facilitators of discoveries; empathic communication; create learning contexts from concrete experiences; the need to let children play in a free way... but also to offer them the possibility of creative and fullfilling guided activities.

    HOW TO REACH US

At the train stops of Viterbo (1 h train from Rome) you can take a bus (Cotralspa.it) that will bring you to our town (name in private message) in 1 hour.
Attention! Please don't travel on Sundays! and check timetables before booking the train! and call the Cotral +39 800174471 to double check timetables! Italian buses are a bit confusing ;)

    2. Social VIDEO-STORYTELLER: to tell the work we are doing renovating and managing the house and the land in permaculture and making some basketry tutorials. Light weighted videos with smartphone and basic tools.

    3. GARDENER: for someone that is able to clean the veggie beds and cares to do it well and efficiently and help Sergio to grow vegetables.

  • Algo más...

    Algo más...

If you are by feet you can take a walk in the wood, go to the river next to our land, trek to the nearby archeological site of Rofalco, observe yourself in peace and silence in the wood...

Or you can (fix and) take our bike and a bus and go around, there is so much to see and do!

This is a straordinary land full of very ancient history and at the same time wild nature.
    We are sorrounded by woods ("Riserva Naturale Selva del Lamone") with waterfalls and pathways to Neolithic and Etruscan archeological sites (Rofalco, Castro, Vulci);
    There are free thermal springs at 20 min by car and at 40 min you can reach the famous thermal pools of Saturnia and San Filippo;
There are also beatiful waterfalls (Cascata del Salabrone etc.), rivers (Fiora) and lakes (Lago di Bolsena, Lago di Mezzano).
If you are interested in little medieval towns in 20-30 minutes you can see Pitigliano, Bolsena and Sorano.
The sea! Only 30 minutes from wonderful beaches of Monte Argentario
If you look for mountains we have Monte Amiata, 50 min far.
In this area there are also interesting local tiny museums (search for "Simulabo musei").
Our town in itself it's a very small town, but nice and usually welcoming.
