We stayed about 2 1/2 weeks at Vitoria's jungle property. Despite a rainy couple of days, we enjoyed our experience so much! Vitoria is kind, generous, and open-minded. She gave us rides whenever she could, so we were able to explore Byron multiple times and check out some of the areas bush walks. We stayed in a cute caravan at the top of the property (which was definitely a treat) and soaked up sun on the deck after work. The work we did on her property included weeding, whipper sniping, and cleaning. The work was tough some days, but satisfying to see spaces transformed and ease Vitoria's workload. All in all it was well had a great time and are very grateful for Vitoria's hospitality.

family scott, ella, jona and noah came here and our personalities and different cultures melted together just like a great example of peace and freedom. german, russian, ucrainian, dutch and us american culture all together and daily life with all its up and downs, laughing and crying, relaxing and tense moments and allways and everywhere the kids arounf and among us screaming, laughing, crying. this family is special and i am sure not everybody could handle this but we could and we wanted more, but the time to say goodbye had to come but we hope very much to see us again and still we have a hope a "miracle" happens and we get you ghuys as neighbours next door. we pray for it:) it was all not about work as in these weeks we did not do so much works and had more family things to do so here i do not talk about working skills etc. anyways for us the most important thing is the together living and feeling than the work:) ella is a fantastic chef for our sense of taste and scott is a fabolous singer and noah and jona are mega sweet boys with the most beatifull smile ever:) LOVE

Paolo is a genius. He may pick up any language just by listening to you. Overall, he is very much interested in different cultures and languages and thus easily adapts to any foreign circumstances. Paolo is extremely pleasant and fun company, respects the rules in every way, works hard, and goes very well in a large group, as well as alone, independent. He can also cook delicious pasta! We were privileged to host him for a full month. It was not easy to let him go, we would have loved him to stay! We would take him back anytime. Welcome, Paolo! If you who are reading this are a host, and Paolo is willing to stay with you, do not wait for minute to say him yes!

Also we only stayed for about a week, we had a great time . By the time it was just us and Alex and a big group for a workshop over the werk end. The place is very beautiful and there is a lot to learn. We helped in the garden, harvesting a cherry tree, creating a Mosaik and some other things. Alex has a lot of knowledge, he is happy to share. He took us on a great hike in the mountains. I recommend to stay a bit longer, because it always takes a few days to settle in.

I stayed for 10 days, working mostly during afternoons, while taking care of my online dayjob during the day. Work was flexible and possible to do independently, which I greatly appreciate. Mostly taking care of the lawn, chopping some firewood, and walking the dog, who is very friendly and smart. The surrounding area looks great, though I didn't have too much time to explore it due to having a fulltime job on top of my Workaway commitments. Regardless, it was a positive experience that allowed me to learn new things. If I didn't live in Finland already, I'd also appreciate the authentic Finnish house and sauna more, but that part unfortunately isn't new to me. Or fortunately?

This is our first experience, we had a great time with Jessica and David. Pascal was well supported by David in his DIY tasks. David is looking for new experience, he is interested and the missions are always accomplished according to our requests. I wandered with David and shared culinary experiences. Jessica spent a lot of time with me. She is also a person curious about new experiences. missions are always carried out according to our request. She doesn't stay around and comes to offer her help. They are a very pleasant and discreet couple.

Gregory and Lisiane are a powerhouse team! They worked extremely well, both as a team and individually. Every task asked of them was completed to a high standard of excellence with lots of integrity, unlimited energy, and skill; not to mention lots of smiles and songs! A high level of respect was shown to the Land and all the tools and equipment used. Punctuality and self direction are of their many virtues. When they arrived, the spring tasks were sorely behind time and by the time this lovely couple left things were almost totally on track and up to date again!! We are so grateful to both if them on to many levels! We really enjoyed hearing their interesting stories of their journeys and their life in Reunion, an island off the coast of Madagascar. I loved seeing Gregory walking through the garden in the evening, with his funky hat, when he would come down to "pick dinner". The cabin where they stayed was left impeccably clean. We would highly recommend this couple!

I had an amazing 3 and a half weeks with Alex, Dan and the kids, you are all wonderful people. Felt extremely welcome from the off and was very grateful to be involved with everything they had planned, from festivals to visiting Berry Springs. I also felt it was a very fair exchange. Thanks guys for the opportunity to come and experience the beautiful solar village lifestyle and giving me some much needed time in the bush, I'll miss you all!

Very quick response and easy communication. Valérie and Lionel are very friendly and helpful. We were very well looked after with food. Valérie also gave us good tips for the area and even went hiking with us. Work is interesting. In the afternoon there is enough time to enjoy the beach or the surroundings ☺️ Thank you for your stay

Steph and Stephen were with me in the Dordogne for the whole of May 24. They were amazing. We worked together, first constructing a pallet wood table with a glass top for my art projects. Then building a pallet wood playhouse in the secret depths of the garden. This is no ordinary playhouse; with crazy windows, two levels and a 'hobbit' door. It took most of the month that we shared together, but with their hard work we got the job done. Steph and Stephen were fun to be with - lots of stories, ideas and aspirations. They helped around the house, we cooked and ate most meals together and Steph showed me some new recipes to add to my pathetically meagre repertoire. They were careful with my things, followed instructions using my carpentry equipment and worked exceptionally hard on the projects - often well over time. I was also happy to show them around the area - with the majestic local chateaux, bustling markets and an ancient moated town. They met some of my friends (they will be taking Monday's breakfast club back to Australia) and even offered their days-off helping out. If you are looking for the perfect Workaways, then your search is at an end. Steph & Stephen are a wonderful couple and I thoroughly recommend them to other hosts. When they left I had to pinch myself; their room and bathroom were so clean and tidy I had to wonder if it had all been a dream! But no, there's a corner of the Dordogne where, with their toil, happy grandchildren can now play in an enchanted hobbit house.

Tista is a great girl. She is super sustainable, vegan, puts nature first in almost everything. She is open to help with anything and is very happy to work independently. She is a fun person to be with and have a conversation about things. Tista stayed with us for around a month and it felt less. She helped us with planning, kitchen, farming, writing, hosting, animal care, plant care, vegan food, yoga, etc etc. She is an all rounder and we recommend her to any host on workaway.

From minute one Fifi made us feel at home. We're very comfortable in your small house! We only stayed for a week but we were able to help them with many different tasks and it was very enjoyable despite the unbearable heat on some days. Some days we were in the garden, moving plants, cutting trees and helping to clean the area. Loved that even with the mosquitoes! On other days we helped with the house next door which they are renovating to be able to offer to more travellers and we helped to clean, scrape the walls and remove dirt. Wish you can finish this soon! We're also able to see up close how they cooked for the restaurant and help them clean and reorganise the whole kitchen area (we learned their Sambal receipe!). The biggest entertainment is the many animals they have: the chickens (and baby ones), million cats (which we fed and cleaned when she couldn't- already missing them), 2 dogs, huge lizards that were running around (luckily we only found one 'small'), small mouses, etc. We had a great time and enjoyed all the meals they cooked, it's really traditional and different!! In the afternoons we visited some of the surrounding areas but the heat and tiredness did not leave us in such a good mood, althougth we rested really well in the house as the cafe close at 13:00 and it's very quiet. We also cooked them some Spanish dishes that we hope they will be able to repeat one day in their cafe! It has been a very fun experience and we have loved the chats with Fifi and her brother. We hope that those of you who go in the future will make him see that he needs to relax and rest a bit more as he has a thousand ideas and they are all in motion! Also wish her mum get well soon as she had surgery while we were there and Fifi had so much additional stress. A big hug Fifi!

We stayed for almost a month and enjoyed a wonderful stay! During our time there, we mapped and painted a bird-eye view of the property with hand-painted details of the main buildings. We are very grateful to our host Ashwani (Tito) for this creative opportunity and lovely accomodation. We will always remember the amazing homely meals prepared with fresh produce straight from the in-house vegetable garden! (Must try Tito's signature fresh cabbage salad. Didn't know cabbages could taste this good!) This is an enchanted bubble tucked away in the gorgeous mountains of Almorah! The property is situated on the banks a beautiful river that definitely adds to the charm of the place! It was a privilege to wake up to the cool mountain air and birdsongs every morning! There are many peacefull nooks within the expansive property which are perfect for yoga and meditation practices. Thank you Tito for such a wonderful and adventurous workaway exchange! We wish all the very best to you, kitty Gauri, the puppies, and the staff. Stay blessed ✌️

We really enjoyed the stay at Arthur's farm, really liked the work, did a lot of different things and really appreciated that you and Arthur was always paying attention to be sure that everything was good for us ! Also Coldstream is a very nice small city, with a lot of outdoor activities, and Arthur let us use the truck, bikes and kayaks so that was really great Living with a lot of others workawayers can also allow you to meet new people and exchange on different cultures

I spent 10 days volunteering , and it was one of the best parts of my trip. By the end, I didn't want to leave! Working with the students and helping the teaching assistants run classes was really rewarding. I got to meet customers, learn about Vietnamese culture, and spend time with customers, staff, and other volunteers during our days/evenings out together, which were great fun. The café has a friendly atmosphere, and I met many cool people during my time there. I’ll always look back on the experience fondly and hope to come back someday. The hostel was relaxed, with nice cafes and bars just across the road—perfect for hanging out in the heat. I also loved exploring Da Nang; there are so many beautiful places to visit nearby. Thanks guys! Ollie

This was my first workaway experience, and I definitely lucked out coming here! Living and working with Brian and Jen was a great experience. I got to stay in a lovely, comfy and well kept house for the duration of the stay, and got to experience lots of healthy and nutritious meals. The work (a short drive away) was varied and interesting, and the weather was magic, so I got to do a bunch of tasks outside like building a rabbit proof fence, prepping an area and planting a cover crop, digging a few holes for planting trees, touching up window frames, helping install some cladding and many more odd jobs. It was great to see the progress we made in just less than three weeks! Jen and Brian had plenty of suggestions of things to do and see while in Margaret River, so me and the other workawayer had plenty to explore. Playing Dutch blitz on the odd occasion after dinner was also great fun! Jen and Brian are just really good people (and their family that I met too) that make you feel very welcome, I had a great time with plenty of chats and laughs, learnt a lot, and would recommend this host to anyone. PS. Thanks Jen for showing me how to grow spouts, mums are a few days in now and she loves them!
