Our stay with Mike, Tricia and Olivia was great! We only stayed there for a week but they really made us feel at home. They made great efforts to show us the area and Australian culture, as well as made sure that we just had an all around great time with them. Their dogs are super cute and very friendly and we had great meals throughout our stay. Our little cottage provided us with everything our hearts could desire and overall we were very very happy.

First and foremost, we would like to express our gratitude to Bec and Damian for their incredible hospitality and for allowing us to be a part of their lives for the entire three weeks! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with this very accommodating, friendly, and open-hearted family and all of their lovely animals. Almost immediately, we embraced the family and the entire atmosphere, and from day one, we felt at home. Whether it was after a wonderful dinner or during our breaks, Rebecca and Damian were always up for a chat, and caring for the animals was a real pleasure for us. We tackled our tasks around the house and garden with joy and were happy to lend a hand, whether it was taking care of animals, painting fences, or various gardening tasks. They always strive to make the work as pleasant as possible, and we never felt pressured or overwhelmed. On the contrary, through their experiences with many Workaways, they have plenty of tips and suggestions on how to make the most of your free time in this beautiful area. If you're looking for an authentic Workaway experience filled with joy and fun, this is the place to be! We already miss you and the animals so much and hopefully, we'll see you again soon!

Our visit was the highlight of our entire backpacking trip so far - inspiring and amazing place - it was life changing - so kind and hospitable and the work they do with the dogs is incredible- if you do this work away you will be very lucky ! we loved every minute thankyou so much for having us - Barney & Beth x

Hayley and Chris are very friendly and helpful, we felt like home and in a luxury holiday same time. The house nice and confortable and the area is beautiful. I really hope I can get back sometime, can help them more around the house and make our friendship stronger.

Nienke and Hans are so lovely and kind people. We stayed here for 6 days, they welcomed us warmly and we felt very comfortable. We had to plant lots of trees and help in the garden. The work was great fun and not too hard. There was delicious food, good conversation and always something to laugh about with them. We got lots of good tips for our further journey and Hans helped us a lot with our car. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thanks for everything! Fanni & Amelie from Germany

Luis was a very nice guy! He was great on teaching us different things about Germany! He also helped my mom which was very nice. He was attentive to details and got a long with everyone! I definitely recommend him. He was nice to have in our home and got along with everyone ! Welcome anytime Luis

My time at Colina das Flores was much too short!! The day after leaving, I was already missing the loving people, sweet pets and beautiful surroundings I found there. This stay was a perfect break after visiting the busy neighbouring São Paulo, it's such a peaceful area with gorgeous scenery, and I found the work quite therapeutic too. Communication was brilliant, both before arriving and during my stay, so I instantly felt at home. Also really missing Yamila's incredible vegetarian meals! ;) Lots of love to you all and thank you for everything!! xx Alba

Jo and Jung Sun were very friendly and attentionate, providing comfy room and delicious meals. I spent the Spring blossom time there and don't regret a bit, as they showed us great places to see the beauty of Korean nature and culture. Gardening work can be a bit intense, but far from tiring, as there is a meditation room with exercise equipment to relax and be phisycally healthy. You have many hiking paths around, and a Buddhist community in another village with volunteers to work with on some days, I learnt a lot and will keep many great memories from this place and the people I met. Thank you again for all the kindness 😊

Campbell and Kirstie were with us for over 2 weeks and achieved a very significant amount of work in the garden and were of great support within the home cooking meals and completing minor repairs, etc. Campbell's extensive plant and gardening knowledge enabled valuable replanting of numerous species that needed to be moved from our future building block. Kirstie added many hours of stirling work in the garden removing copious weeds, replanting from the rear to the driveway area, all of which contributed to a much improved look to our 50 metre access way. We can highly recommend them as workawayers with a broad scope of experience, an affable and co-operative spirit and a mature approach to their interactions with their hosts.

Sef and her family were just absolutely amazing! i stayed in the cabin for a bit but decided I wanted to stay longer and they let me stay in another room in their house. As a horsegirl it was so nice to spent time with their 3 horses and help out around the farm and it was the perfect stay in Bega valley. Thank you again for everything and I can just recommend them to everyone who loves kids, nature and animals :)

Jula was a joy to host. She had a great attitude and work ethic. We host international high school students, and unlike them, she was hardly ever on her phone. She enjoyed to sit around us and be in our presence. It certainly helped with conversation. She was just as willing to cook, watch the kids, as she was for cleaning the bathrooms. She was a great help to have around as well as the company. We highly recommend her as a guest. Our first workawayer was terrible, we couldn't wait for her to leave. This caused us to be skeptical with the program, however, we agreed to host Jula as our second workawayer and we're very glad we did. Our faith has been restored.

We had Gordon and Kathrin come to stay for one week and loved having them about. They jumped in on any job and are both extremely knowledgeable about many things. They love food and wine, which is a big plus, and are lots of fun. We even managed to play a board game or two. We wish them safe travels on the rest of their journey and definitely welcome them to come and stay anytime!

Outi is a gem of a woman. I really enjoyed her presence here and miss her already. She is very attuned to what is needed in the environment or task and is so generous in offering suggestions or taking initiative to make things as good as possible. Her thoroughness and attention to detail meant all the tasks she was given she did so well, including things like painting, planting seedlings and also a god send in helping me organise and sort materials on the property. Outi was wonderful at looking after the goats and really connecting with them in such a deep way, it warmed my heart. Her engagement in the nature and life here alongside her genuine curiosity and questions was also something I truly value. Outi is welcome back anytime and I wish her well in her travels and adventures, knowing she will continue to bring joy and a warm heart to any space and person she interacts with.

Patricia was a great host and I enjoyed my time with her. She has a lot of worldly perspective and makes for super interesting conversation. I cleaned her chicken run, organized her garden shed, and weeded/mulched. Overall a nice stay!

My time in Urunga was really wonderful! Full of magic, fun, adventure and surprises! I only stayed for a week with this really cool family but it felt like I had been a part of them for a long time 🫶🏼 Thank you all for welcoming me into your lives and giving me a really great time! It'll be hard to keep this short as I have so much to say! But as soon as I arrived here I was struck with the feeling of how lucky I was to spend time at this beautiful and magical space. I was instantly welcomed like family and where I slept in casa caliente had such a peaceful vibe with a view that never stops impressing. The food was also Michelin star featuring jungle pizzas, pifaio stews and cacao desserts washed down with masato. I started off by prepping breakfast in the morning for us all, and gradually doing more like working in the chacra, prepping yucca, keeping the place tidy etc and learning a lot about the land to house sit for them for a couple of weeks. It was tough at times with the heat and harsher environment, but you quickly get used to it and become very grateful for the lake around the malloka! Arnia also gives you so much energy as she lifts the mood of everyone in her presence when she smiles and interacts. It’s also great to have Rocky and Banu accompany you on your adventures! Guillermo and Kori are both very knowledgeable, you’ll learn a lot from them as I did! They're also very easy going, compassionate and interact with a certain kind of lightness which creates a very peaceful atmosphere. I’m really inspired by what you’ve created, and the life you live. And very grateful to have been a part of it! I wish I didn't have to leave earlier than planned. Thanks again for everything, I very much look forward to returning again someday!

This was my very first Workaway, and therefore I was full of excitement and didn’t really know what to expect. I just really hoped it to be a good experience. And it truly was! Helena and Arnie made me feel at home right away. We quickly found common grounds and a good everyday routine. We shared every meal together and could easily sit at the table for hours sharing experiences, opinions and life lessons and talking about traveling, cultures, politics and a whole lot about food - and always laughing a lot. They’re very inspiring people that I truly came to admire and care about. Not to mention their six dogs, who quickly became my best companions and who I might have had the hardest time saying goodbye to. Life at the farm is all about getting up early every morning and working hard in the fields, but it’s also about resting at siesta, taking a dip in the pool in the afternoon, cooking wonderful meals, visiting nearby wineries, doing a picnic, watching beautiful sunsets, eating pancakes on Sundays, walking the dogs and chatting with neighbors and local workers. It’s peaceful and quiet and I loved how much time I got to spend outdoors. There’s all kind of things to do at the farm, but my favorite was to be part of the peach harvest. In the middle of backpacking, going from hostel to hostel, and always being on the move, Helena’s and Arnie’s felt like a home away from home. Thanks for having me and thanks for a great time!

We had an incredible week with John and Julie. We laughed so much with them. We would have stayed three weeks longer because of the warmth of their welcome. We really enjoyed working together and sharing some great evenings out. Julie's meals were delicious. It was very nice to have a small independent studio. We had lots of interesting discussions with them, which helped us to improve our English. :)

I had a very good time at Estebans place. The region is very green and beautiful and you can explore the sculpture garden, waterfalls and the town Xilitla. There wasn't a lot of work for us to do, but we tried to build pots from chickenwire, helped a bit in the Pizzaria and kept the place clean. If you are explicitly interested in stone maisonery or building with bamboo it is probably good to ask in advance, if it is currently taking place. Esteban shared a lot with us: climbing, conversation and delicious food. I was able to calm down a lot, when I was there and I am very thankful for that :)
