Viola was a delight to have. Bright as a button, willing to do anything asked of her and happy to have around. We were able to show her a fair bit about our way of life. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance for her to do some horse riding. Next time, Viola!! Viola picked up on what needed to be done very quickly and she was very helpful when branding/tagging etc the calves. Next time we will make sure that she gets to do some of her much loved horse riding. There has to be a next time as we will be needing some more of her scrummy brownies!!

My stay with Paul was a wonderful experience. I stayed there for a week. He was super nice and helpful from the start and even picked me up from my hostel. The house is amazing with a beautiful view and garden. I mainly worked in the garden. On rainy days we just looked at what needed to be done inside the house. The work was never exhausting or boring. He always made sure that everything was okay with me. I also enjoyed looking after the two chickens. He even took me dancing and visited the local crystal castle with me, both very nice experiences. All in all, I highly recommend staying with Paul. I would always come back to stay with him again. Thank you for the great experience and for letting me stay with you. Can't wait to see you again :)

We spent a lovely two weeks with Basil, Ananda and the gorgeous dachshund Gigi. In that time we did lots of different tasks. One of my favourites was collecting native seeds under licence to establish on a new nature reserve Basil helped create. He was kind enough to spend time explaining to me how NGO's worked in Aus (I worked for them in Wales and was keen to learn the system here). We also helped various people in the community with their eco-builds, which was a great way to meet different people. There's also lots of community events on including a weekly friendly soup kitchen and board game night. We were meant to go to Perth after two weeks but decided to stay in Denmark we loved it so much. If you like small towns with a big sense of community you should definitely visit here 🥰

It was a great experience seeing the project improve brush stroke by brush stroke. I had a marvelous time with Hai and would definitely go back to visit (or help again) anytime I'm back in Vietnam.

My time with Sol at the finca was amazing. The finca itself is really special, a lot of love has been put in it by Sol and all the volonteers before, so it makes the place welcoming and beautiful. Getting to know the horses and working with them has really been a pleasure and a nice discovery for me. I also had the chance to work with the bees and taste the natural honey, wich was an awesome experience. There is other tasks, such as general maintenance and Sol is always open to new projects or initiatives. In summary, Sol is a wonderful person, really gentle and generous with her time sharing her knowledge and experience. You can learn a lot with her if you are curious, and open minded. My time with Sol inspired me a lot for my futur and my lifestyle. Plus, the dogs arelovely and welcome you as family really fast. I highly recommend the finca, gracias infinemente me amiga Sol.

We arrived as guests at the Monkey Safari and felt so at home there that we wanted to extend the experience through Workaway volunteering. Oscar, the owner, was immediately available and attentive. He was very willing to share his culture, his travel recommendations and to let us taste the local specialities (el "mezcalito" and his "ceviche" which we'll never forget!). More than just a volunteer experience, Oscar integrated us into his daily life as if we were real friends, introducing us to his friends and family. Everything was made to make us feel at home at the Monkey Safari! Thank you so much Oscar for your welcome and the great time we had together! We left Monkey Safari with a lot of emotion and a real friendship. As you can see, we can only recommend volunteering at the Monkey Safari!

Best experience ever! Marie and Pipapo have been like family during this 2 months we have spend with them. Marie cooks like a chef, we have tested incredible meals, so great and tasty! Pipapo is such a person with a hundred lives and so many tails to say. Work was variated from construction to cleaning dives !!! Super cool, Always in good mood and by the supervision and help of Pipapo. The little appartement they propose to the workawayers is super cosy, confidence and with the own little kitchen. The weekend and Afternoons you can visit and expérience the Marquises culture by yourself or in a party or camping with the hosts. Those have been our best 2 months of Travel from our 1 year trip in Polynésia.

Hot dang what a great time I had with the late great Priscilla! Where do I start, she is very welcoming and generous with her time. Down to earth lady who has a fantastic life of knowledge. The campground place she has setup is simple yet beautiful, brings ya back to your roots you could say. She lets you harnesses your abilities working here with whatever your good at. Plenty of deliciously tasty local restaurant stalls nearby to have the tastes of Malaysia. The beach is a must for great swimming everyday. Overall if you get the chance, it's all groovy and top quality here. My best volunteer experience thus far. I can't recommend enough, you will laugh, you will learn and you will love it. Thank you very much Priscilla, can't wait to meet again 😎😜😛😋🤠

We really enjoyed our stay with this Workaway. The communication was super easy and fast. It was mainly a housesitting, so we were alone in the house with the very friendly dog. The family is super friendly and open and we felt very welcomed.

My girlfriend and I stayed in Meg’s farm for 2 weeks. We really enjoyed our time there, time went by really fast! My girlfriend helped the oldest kid, Will, with his lessons and homework and I helped Meg with some daily tasks in the farm and the garden like weeding, “building” a new fence, digging holes for the trees etc. We also spoke Spanish to them sometimes. Although the first three days, while Meg was away we helped Carl, the dad, in his job site construction and we worked the 4-5 hours that are indicated in the profile, the rest of the days we worked less than 4 hours. We have to thank Meg because she always made sure that we were comfortable, she allowed us a lot of free time to explore around and she even borrowed us the bikes! She’s also a great cook and all the dishes she prepared were delicious. The best thing about Meg, appart from being a really nice person is that her communication is excellent, not only before the workaway starts but especially during the time you spend with her family. Thank you for this wonderful time and hopefully see you in Spain! Saludos a Alex,Will,Carl,Vegas,Jorge,Jess and the chooks😄

Remi helped us with gardening and warehouse cleaning tasks for a week, and he was excellent! He is a hardworking young man with always a positive attitude, always willing to help more. Mercedes, Gabriel, and I are going to miss him, despite the short time he was here, he left a good vibe of memories. Thank you very much Remi for all your effort and help at the hostel, it was extremely helpful! We recommend him 100% for other volunteering opportunities in the future, and we wish you a very good trip, Remi.

Arcapacha is a special place, just like its owner German! I loved being there, I learnt a lot, discovered new parts of myself, and I was feeling happy and satisfied physically and mentally everyday. This seems impossible but I guess it’s not:) The day starts at 8am with breakfast. You can exchange ideas and learn some typical dishes in a joyful mood in a beautiful kitchen, all participating in the cooking time. You can also choose to wake up earlier to do some yoga on the upper open floor of the volunteering house, surrounded by nature. 9-1/2pm is the working time. We all work, including the host, mostly harvesting and opening cacao but also preparing seeds for new trees, cleaning the pool, harvesting in the fruit garden… After a big refreshing glass of ‘Jugo de cacao’ we have a big lunch all together, and then free time until dinner. It’s a spectacular place, surrounded by many different species of plants, animals, people and ways of leaving (always learning with new volunteers:). You can also swim in the river of the farm or go to the nearest waterfall. German is often down to join excursions or just chill music/art time with the volunteers. He is full of energy and stories to tell, he speaks lots of languages and if you’re lucky, you can participate in a cacao ceremony. I wish I could come back, you go for me.

We learned a lot during our stay here, Alejandra was very knowledgeable about the land she lives on, and the accommodation was very comfortable. If youre looking to connect to nature and unplug for a while, find yourself... this is the place!!! Muchas Gracias again

Sarah was an absolute pleasure to host. In fact, things went so well I didn’t know where to start with the review as she is a such a kind soul. She is incredibly capable, organised and very eager to help out with whatever I asked of her. I was delighted with her input as she definitely got me sorted and started all my seeds off as I couldn’t quite seem to get myself organised. Sarah quickly and confidently got on with whatever needed to be done as she learned very fast. She is definitely not afraid to get her hands dirty and makes a fabulous ginger cordial, be sure to get the recipe!! She is also a dab hand at sorting out bag loads of briars which seemed to pop up everywhere this year. We swopped ideas and had lots of interesting conversations about how to improve the fertility of the soil as I am transitioning to organic gardening and willing to try all sorts of home made fertilisers. I encouraged her exploration of the area as we live quite close to the Killarney National Park. She ventured further afield and walked the old Kenmare Road back to Killarney, that’s no mean feat on your own as it’s a 4 hour hike!! Not to mention cycling from Lord Brandon's cottage through the Gap of Dunloe and back into town, not for the faint hearted. Our two cats were definitely thrown into a depression after she left as they loved nothing better than to curl up in her lap for a bit of attention. Sarah is quite honestly an absolute fabulous person, and I would welcome her back again without hesitation.
