The camping site location is in the middle of the beautiful Hungarian puszta, with lots and lots of walking trails (for which Barat is very thankful). I visited in the early season and the peace and quiet around is something I can hardly describe. I haven't slept that good in years! Alies and Mark are very good hosts and incredible people, I am very grateful that I got to meet them and I am thankful for all the time we spent together. Mark is an amazing cook and we had some very mindful conversations with Alies about figuring out life which helped me lot. Barat and Kleo are great animals and I had lots of fun hanging out with them, playing, and even just observing them. They were always the first ones to greet me in the morning and I must say, it's a wonderful way to wake up! As far as the work goes, the hosts are very easy going and you can take the time you need with tasks (great for perfectionists 😛), the description on the site is very accurate and it's all presented well by Alies on the video call before coming, no surprises. The caravan you sleep in is nice and cosy, it has all the necessities. It's definitely a challenge living like this if you're used to all the apartment comforts, but it's really a part of the experience itself. Even though there weren't many people around when I was visiting, I got to meet some interesting couples, so I think it's a great way to meet new people and hear all about their life stories (people who go to camping sites usually have the best ones!). For me personally it was a beautiful experience and I feel they impacted my life in a good way and really I thank them both from the bottom of my heart.

I had an amazing time with aschel and slava they are both amazing people who made me feel very welcome straight away. I couldn't of asked for better hosts, I really enjoyed all the chats we had about their lives and getting to know them! If you're a foodie I definitely recommend slavas cooking, she made some amazingly tasty meals!! Although some are family secrets she wasn't willing to pass on 😅 its such a beautiful project they are working on! Workwise they are very descriptive on what needs doing. Slava has a fine eye for detail and she'll let you know 🤣 Definitely a 10/10 for a workaway, if you have the opportunity to join them I'd say jump at the chance!! Thank you for everything guys, hope to see you both again at some point!!

We all enjoyed your cheerfulness and the way you always found something that needed to be done as for ex the room that you decorated with wallpaper. Magdalena was an amazing co-creator of the building team for my eco house!. OMG she is so eager to learn, uses all her forces to make it happen :) During shared meals we had good conversations and shared a lot. Magdalena also likes to explores the surroundings and makes easy contact with others. If there is a new opportunity to work with Magdalena, I will accept it with both hands.... Thank you Magdalena!!!!

I spent only one week at Flor and Marcello's place but I could learn loads of new things! The tasks were diversified : - cooking (handmade pasta, pizza, goat cheese...) - gardening - taking care of animals (poultry, goats, dogs...). Days where tiring but there were no strict time table, so I could wake up or put my holiday when I wanted to. In my free time, I could walk in the forest and loose myself in the village - the region is really natural and peaceful! I had a great journey in Viterbo with Flor and Marcello, they are really nice people. I recommand them highly :)

We (Leander and Daniel) had 2 very special weeks at Simons place - we built a fence, cooked a lot, explored the area and took the time to relax. He lives on an old farm were there is almost everything you could imagine. So no matter what you need, you'll probably find it somewhere there (propably there's even a Spätzleschwob somewhere, but we just couldn't find it). The surrounding region is just amazing with lots of lakes and lots of wild animals that you can observe from the house. For example we spotted an owl (Elizabeth) hatching in the garden. We also had a lot of free time were we could discover the nature and lakes of the region. One day we did a road trip with Simon, were he showed us some nice spots and towns. During the time we stayed at Simon's, we built a new fence for some sheep, staying at his farm this summer, so we had various tasks to do for that. We even visited the little lambs once - way too cute. Besides that we showed him some traditional German dishes and vegetarian cooking in general. Thank you for the amazing 2 weeks! (PS Now the name of Elizabeth is written down in the internet and the internet never forgets.)

Judith is great!! He welcomed us even when our arrival was surprising. Waiting for us at home was Thomas, an extraordinary man. They have everything very organized and clean, with the same family values as us. We would have liked to stay a little longer. A pleasure to have met you Family

Tammaro è stato molto generoso, lui ama fare il volontario e lo fa bene con impegno e devozione . É una persona intelligente, autentica, rispettosa , sa ascoltare e condividere con piacere. La pioggia ha accompagnato parte del suo viaggio ma Tammaro non si è mai lamentato. Il suo aiuto è stato prezioso, fortunato chi lo ospiterà in futuro. Tammaro was very generous, he loves to volunteer and he does it well with commitment and devotion. He is an intelligent, authentic, respectful person, who knows how to listen and share with pleasure. The rain accompanied part of his journey but Tammaro never complained. His help was invaluable.

Beatrice is a brave girl, listening and very generous. She has perfectly adapted to the environment and always with a smile she has participated in the most strenuous activities and jobs with kindness and availability. Great experience with her!

Me siento muy afortunada de poder recibir a esta pareja, ellos son unos chicos muy trabajadores, aprenden rápido y se adaptaron al lugar muy fácilmente. Siempre estaban atentos de cumplir las metas diarias de trabajo y también se adaptaban muchas veces a los cambios de las comidas ya que trabajo en otro lugar. Quiero dar las gracias y dejar la mejor de las recomendaciones ya que en donde ellos estén, seguro serán un gran aporte en los voluntariados. I stayed at the farm for 15 days in April 2024. Had such a good time! Very cool to see what's going on up in the mountains in the middle of nowhere. Senthil has built quite the oasis for him and his family in a beautiful location where you can hear the birds all day long and potentially run into an elephant at any given moment. The amount of love and thoughtful care that has gone into developing the property is delightful. Senthil is a wizard of an architect and a 24/7 problem solver. His mom is a master chef who will be sure to make sure you have plenty of tea and food to keep you satisfied. And his sister is so sweet and would love to play some cards with you if you ever get the chance. Plenty of animals, everywhere. Also, everyone has a bit of a sense of humor, making the experience that much more enjoyable! There's a lot of work to be done and sometimes the work can be physically challenging, but that's the nature of living on a farm in the mountains in India. As far as I'm concerned, it was the exact experience I was looking for. Even got to sleep in a tent for around 10 days during my stay. Rejuvenating to sleep outside and wake up with the natural sounds and light of the morning. Conversations were always interesting. Also managed to have plenty of time to myself throughout the duration of my stay. Overall, if you're looking for some good work, a cultural exchange, and some delicious Tamilian meals, this farm is the place to be. I truly hope to visit again one day!

Hosting Alex was great. She is responsable, kind and dependable. She is a fast learnear, and manage to do an amazing job at the hostel. We always say that we have been lucky with most of our volunteers since they are always really good, and Alex is not an exception. We appreciate all the help Alex gave us.

I think words can't describe how grateful and happy I am for this truly enriching, beautiful and amazing workaway experience!!!! I stayed there for 3 weeks and since the beginning, I truly felt welcome and treated like a part of their family. (We became like family) They treat you as good as they can and just want the best for their workawayers. Furthermore, they always made sure that you're feeling good and that you always have the chance to get into contact with students and other wonderful teacher to exchange more about your knowledge and learn from each other. Moreover, they also ensured that you're having enough breaks and they always asked you if you want to do something. They never forced you to do anything if you didn't want to. Additionally, their main goal is to give their students the chance to talk with foreigners, to motivate them to learn English, to practise their own English and to give us the chance to dive into their own culture and life and show us around their place and learn from each other. Mrs. Y and his wife try to give you as many opportunities as possible to see many different places, people and their traditions and food. All the people here have such an open heart and are so kind, wonderful and loving. I'm truly gonna miss them. You gonna see different schools to meet many wonderful students and teacher, but they have a lot of students in their own classrooms. You can talk with the students or do some fun games. ;) Life here is a bit more simple than I'm used to, but I truly enjoyed it and gonna miss it too. You have an own wonderful room with a fan and truly always somebody with you to talk to if there is something. All those people just grew into my heart and leave a big footprint there and I'm gonna take a lot of memories and knowledge with me. I will definitely come back and see you again. Thank you for everything!!

Ellos realizaron diversas tareas de jardinería, cocina y limpieza, siempre con entusiasmo e independencia. Les deseo lo mejor de lo mejor en esta aventura por Sudamérica y espero volver a cruzarlos algún día!

We (Leander and Daniel) spent 2 awesome weeks in Förslöv. Staffan, Jessica and Ville were a very welcoming host family with a lot of experience with workawayers. Staffan told us a lot about the region and ecological farming, so we learned quite a lot and were able to quickly do our own little trips. They could even provide us with a car during our stay, which came in handy quite a lot of times. We are also really thankful about how they supported us when Leander had a little medical incident. On the field we picked up some cut off branches and stabilized trees thrown over by the wind. The best part was driving the tractor, and we also really enjoyed working outside. After work we could relax in the living room next to the fireplace or explore the beautiful landscape around - including the shore of course. Thank you for the great time, although we didn't see any moose (who could have thought)

My experience in Palín was simply amazing. Apart from living the typical Guatemalan life, Raúl will make sure you will feel at home. Not only did I improve my Spanish and teaching skills, I also made new friends- the group of volunteers is a very warm and welcoming group. It was special to see how eager the students were to learn English, and I am happy to have been a part of this English Academy. Would definitely recommend!

Anna was my third volunteer of the year and I couldn’t have wished for a better guest. Anna is friendly, funny, great to spend time with and extremely positive and motivated. Anna really helped me with some of the tougher jobs on the farm and once she started, she was determined to finish, so I am very thankful to Anna and the amazing help she gave me over the course of her stay. Anna has expressed an interest to return to the farm in the coming weeks, I would be delighted to have her ! 5 stars !

Être chez Flore a été une des meilleures expériences que nous ayons jamais vécues, nous avons été très bien accueillis par toute la famille. Nous avons beaucoup appris de chacun d’eux. Nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps, mais d'autres opportunités pour notre travail personnel ne nous le permettaient pas. Mais qui sait, nous reviendrons peut-être une autre fois et vivrons davantage de moments comme celui-ci. Merci de nous accueillir si bien, avec tant d'affection. Shey was a joy to have around the house. She loved to prepare and cook meals and spent a lot of time picking up and cleaning around the house. She also helped out in the garden. She spoke a lot about a passion to work with kids and was going through a teaching job interview process while she was here to teach kids in China. So interesting!
